Well here are some of Jeff's reviews that got waaay higher scores other places. Crack down, Zelda Tp, Diddy Kong raceing to name a few. All Gamerankings all have those at least .5 whole points higher than Jeff's rating
darn that .5 zelda was the only real big dif. crackdown seems about right, no one is giving it that high of a score (It got a 9 somewhere i think, but what game doesnt get a 9 somewhere?)

He has a more bitter taste than everyone else. i agree, its always "i wish" or "it feels like there should be.." . i'm always thinking, well great, now tell me about the game and how it works instead of how you wished it were another game.

He has a more bitter taste than everyone else. IGN gave it 8, only .2 less that Jeff..... and many scores are low A's and such, which GS always does, if someone is gonna use other sites scores should at least do it right. Look OXM 7, OXM uk 9??

i would argue that. there's quite a difference in 7.8 and 8.0 to me. 7.8 says to me that its decent, but didnt really accomplish what it set out to do. 8.0 says it works quite well but isnt everything it could be. its a psychological difference, but knocking a game down to a lower number even if by a tenth means something.

He's probably the only one who actually rates correctly....... over these past couple years reviews have become so inflated the average score is mid 7s when It's supposed to be 5. I dunno why it happened but prettymuch every game falls between 7 and 10 unless it is utter crap..... when really 5 games should be what 7s are today.
Jeff does a great job and I tend to agree with pretty much all his reviews, including the Crackdown review. You need to stay away from the peyote though because Crackdown is no where near a "high-profile" release. Sheesh, they needed to include a beta just to get anyone to notice it.

Why? Because he's not afriad of giving his honest opinion of a game rather than simply buying in to hype like so many other reviewers? Frankly I think we need more reviewers like him out there.

You need to stay away from Gamespot.com if you think giving Zelda: Twilight Princess 8.8 for the Wii was a mistake. The game feels aged as lots of people don't notice this already. We call 'em Zelda fans, the franchise many grew up with.
