Here's the appetizer:
I've been playing Killzone 3 this afternoon, so that might color my opinion of Crysis 2. Sorry, but it's difficult to go from a very competent and finely crafted online shooter to ... this.

I don't doubt that he's correct, but I try to avoid listening to his opinions, at all cost. Can't stand the guy.

Its not about graphics, its about MP gameplay which seems to be a bit meh atm.I don't blame people for that kind of opinion,it was made by Free Radical after all(yea i know....timesplitters,10 yrs ago).

Even though I think Killzone 3 is much more polished, balanced, and engaging, Crysis 2 is fun as hell :). I played some before I went to sleep last night, and I kept telling myself, "Just one more match" :P. I'm gonna play some more today.
The biggest surprise for me is the lack of recoil. I was burst-firing to keep the muzzle down, but I when I died and saw the "Crysis Cam" (:P), other players were just holding down on the trigger lol. The mechanics are def. cool too, but sliding and shooting isn't very intuitive in my play so far. I think there's killstreak rewards, too, but haven't acquired any. One guy got a gunship and destroyed the other team hah.

I've seen her on some show before...she's gorgeous :oops:While I don't like him, he is right about the demo not being anything special. [QUOTE="Badosh"]Yeah, the demo is not that good. Completely agree with him, tbh. Besides the matchmaking problems? havent had a issue with that. mitu123Matchmaking took forever for me. the 4 games i played, i got in within like 10 seconds.

I don't think his major complaint were the graphics ...
It probably isn't, but all the problems with the 360 have not been experienced with the pc version.[QUOTE="mitu123"]While I don't like him, he is right about the demo not being anything special. The graphics are great! Very, very pretty too. The only drawbacks are the constant late texture loading (after every respawn!), and some wonky 3rd-person animations. 1st-person animations are lovely though. I love the way the gun sways when you turn.

From what I've heard, he may be right on the money with this one.Considering the nicest thing you can call Jim Sterling is a professional troll, I'm going to take this with just a few grains of salt.

killzone 3 has 10x times bigger maps than killzone 2, but crysis 2 on consoles even will have much bigger maps then killzone 3. I dont know what crytek was thinking when they did 6v6, thats a bit too low IMO. With those big maps crysis 2 got it should be AT LEAST 12 vs 12. or will the PC version support more like on bc2?Here's the appetizer:

Whilst I too don't like Sterling I have to say that he is right now this one. I was super excited after watching the trailer and the game is freaking beautiful especially the water. And while its fun its nothing special. It feels like one of those games I'll play for a month and then completely forget about while I go back to Reach, KZ3, BFBC2 or even CSS.
I hope the SP is better. Which reminds me that I still need to finish both Crysis and Warhead.

Turned out that way for me too. Underneath the technical issues is solid MP gameplay. People are watching vids, or playing it like COD, so they don't get the unique verticality aspect that allows you to traverse the map quickly and in unique ways.
It's imperative they fix the technical issues like pop-in, aliasing, and death animations. Also the guns need a little more kick to them(i.e. louder gunshot, more rumble, and better hit indication).
It's weird that they'd release a demo that portrays the game as being rather unfinished.
