Totally agree. I'm sure next gen will be close, people may seem to favor PS4 but even they will see that the 50% raw graphical power stuff is all just talk.

off the bat the PS4 gpu will maintain higher FPS then Xbox One in games, up to developers on whether they want to optimize more/push both consoles further in terms of trying to maintain parity with both

Carmack is very smart guy,but he him self stated that he hasn't done very much benchmarking,so maybe that is the reason.

The difference is there and will be there until both console die.

now all of a sudden cows are singing a different tune.   Im glad i wasnt the one hot piping the PS4 over the xbox one.       I always felt it wasnt that big of a difference, on paper the ps4 has an advantage, but there are so many things that come into play when making games like developer talent, tools given to the devs, etc that I never felt like it was a slamdunk in Sonys favor.     I thought maybe the 7gigs to 5 gigs was a big advantage, but now thats likely not going to be the case either.    Bottomline, both systems are very good, but it comes down to which is your taste.    ill get both of them, just xbox one first and will be my primary console.

i agree with that, im playing TLOU and i think it looks better than almost any game i have played, and that includes PC and I have a good PC.    The bottom line as I have always said it comes down to Devs.    If ND left SONY and came to Xbox one, i truly believe that the game they developed on the Xbox one would rival anyting on the PS4.   Would you at least agree with that?
