Star of direct-to-video Escape Plan 2, who' career is very much on the rocks as it banks in fame to substitute a now aging body, became the latest "thing I remember" to appear in this long running Ed Boon shit show.

Will you be playing this and stuff?

@uninspiredcup: You beat me to it as I was following Ed Boon through Twitter and find it funny he succumb to the demand of Mileena yet again. Ed just can't catch a break from these Mileena fans. But this is what fans wanted for this long Mileena and I'm not a fan of hers anyway. Rain is a nice welcome back, so Ed gets my money lol.

I think that Rambo is a very cool addition to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Definitely want to try him out myself.

This is why I don't buy Mortal Kombat games at launch. Will wait for the Ultimate Infinity edition lol.

I'm the opposite, seeing the Terminator, Robocop, the Joker etc kills it for me, why use characters that have no connection to the MK universe when they have a huge amount of MK characters to choice from in the MK universe is beyond me.

I finished the campaign and krypt then sold it.

It's called "Guest Characters" for a reason meaning they aren't supposed to be connected to the storyline of the main game, only served to be played in vs mode just for fun. Even Negan from The Walking Dead feels out of place in Tekken 7 but that's because the developers thought Tekken fans also watch the TWD thus made it into a guess character.

My point is, this happens to just about any popular fighting games to add guess characters, but I'll say that the latest Killer Instinct game introduce MS guess characters was the best thing.

@i_p_daily: I just enjoy seeing and playing as characters that I have an affinity for especially if they’re ones not usually found in fighting games or even all that many games just in general. It also just really gets me in the “fan fiction” sort of way like how would character X fare in a particular game or even character X Vs character Y.

It looks like young Rambo, but sounds like old Rambo. Pretty cool though. Bringing a machine gun to a fighting tournament seems like a good idea.

Smash: Features Ryu, Ken, and Terry Bogard (also some of Nintendo's characters appeared in REAL fighters such as Link in SoulCalibur II, and even Pokemon had it's own spinoff fighter... which has about as much depth as anime games not named FighterZ... then again, MK and Tekken are guilty of borrowing from anime fighters in recent memory, so...)

MK: Features movie characters...

If the character was wedged into story-mode i'd agree, otherwise, eh, it's fine.

The last two movies in the franchise are extreamly gory while the first basically has no gratuitous violence with it's subsequent two sequels being action comics.

Using the model from John Rambo would have probably made more sense thematically, along with the aged voice, the guy is almost 80.

He's 74....

Also, i think his movies got better with age......absolutlely loved John Rambo. Also regarding the model, the younger model just looks better and more iconic.

Doesn't matter what you call them, i'd rather old characters from the franchise then characters from other franchises.

I known fighting games get "guest characters" but they should be kept for Vs games or games that start out like that.

I get why some people would like them, i'm just in the opposite boat, i'd rather see old MK characters that helped make the franchise what it is today in the game instead of gimmick characters.

Each to their own.

Do they though?

I mean how is a fan of say Arnie going to skip a fighting game because its not their thing, but all of a sudden change their mind because you can play as him in Terminator form?

I grew up on Arnie/Stallone movies, and I wouldn't buy the game because they're in it. Now i'm not saying people haven't bought it for those reasons, but i'd say it influenced very few.

Repacking and reselling the product is more successful than DLC by itself, I would imagine, speculating. Based on nothing.

Stuff like SFV: Arcade, we finally have content and it's working Edition.

Frankly too many out of canon guest appearances in this game. It's annoying TBH to try to play through a tower and MK11 and get these random characters that don't even belong in the universe... while the game leaves out a lot of big characters that should be in it.

@i_p_daily: I had zero intentions of picking up Injustice 2 because the first one wasn't all that fun IMO, but then they announced Hellboy and TMNT were going to be in it as DLC and I waited and picked up the ultimate edition (or whatever it was called). It happens, I'm sure I'm not the only person on the planet who has done this. People see a character that they've grown up watching or see a possible vs match (Robocop vs Terminator) and it gets them excited and they might pick the game up for just that. I mean MK this gen wasn't the highest selling fighting game franchise because of its gameplay...

yeah me too. i always liked his movies but I have to say the new Rambo (not as good as 2008) and the 2008 Rambo he looks meaner and more bad ass in those movies than he did in the 80's. I like his acting more now than back in the day. I still love his old movies but just something about him now that makes you fear him more in his movies I can't explain it.

yeah the original is still the best but the 2008 ending when he has the machine gun in the jeep was epic.

the tech was there to make the seen look so brutal. then gutted the boss that was molesting children made you feel so good to see him die like that. was pure epic.

no but the people that have mk11 that have not played in a while might turn it back on to play those characters which is a good thing for them.

adding more character is always a plus. even if they add richy rich or scooby doo to the list lol. people will play them if they like that character.

Richy rich would be interesting character paying for thugs as body guards lol. just kidding but still be funny to see.

very honest man. down to earth to. love seeing him and Arnold together.

Definitely agree ... the last Rocky movies were so good and i loved that he got the nod by the Acadamy on Creed. However i won't deny that i still enjoy some of his early films like Cobra, Tango and Cash, Rocky IV, Demolition Man, etc.

Anyway ... while i like Stallone and the character, this is a very odd addition to the game, maybe i just rather have them on Injustice than in MK or even better, in a new game altogether with all those guests like Terminator, Predator, Alien, Rambo, TMNT, Jason, Spawn, etc, etc ...

Now i'm really curious to see what guest characters Injustice 3 will have.

I rather they make a good rambo game. all the content is there. I don't get why game developers can't make good games using movie material. I do like the old movies to except stop or my mom will shoot lol.

Rambo: First Blood and Rambo 2008 are the only Rambo films that exist to me. As action packed as 08 is, it actually feels like it stuck to First Blood's message.
