Cool.
This is good since Namco's been kind of mum about what they've got cooking for the three consoles whether it be unannounced or announced titles.
This is either Wii or PS3. There's no way it's going to be on the 360 due to Eternal Sonata's pathetic bombing in both Eastern and Western shores.Gunraidan
I could see it coming to the Xbox 360. Sure ES didn't do well, this doesn't seal out the system as a possible money maker over time. Enough JRPG hit a console eventually a fanbase of some kind gets established.

The thing is every single JRPG that has hit the Xbox 360 has been met with horridc sales (with Blue Dragon being the only exception mind you it only performed well in Japan). Japanese centric games don't sell on the Xbox they never have. Yes there is stuff like Lost Planet and Ace Combat (though it is the worst selling in the series) that sell well but those games aren't really Japanese themed. So there isn't really a fanbase being built on the system judging by Japanese stylled games in general. Not to mention that this series has always sold far more in Japan then in the West. There's just no chance in hell this game is coming to the 360.
Personally I'm not sure what platform this will be for. I've already explained why it can't be the 360, the PSP had the series and the games have sold horribly on it so that X's it out, the Wii has Symphonia 2 coming out next year so I will assume that's just testing grounds for the series, so I predict the PS3.

Sure I agree so far everything has been met with lackluster sales. That's why I said over time.
I do disagree about there being "no chance in hell". I typically don't buy into absolutes like that... I heard that saying too many times and then watch it be false.

The thing about it is that Tales is one of Namco's biggest franchises and undoubtingly their biggest RPG franchise. I could definately see Namco releasing a spin-off of the Tales series to further test the 360's waters with these games, but I doubt that they will throw in their next edition to the main franchise on such shaky ground. The only way I could possibly see it being on the 360 is if it's multiplat.
In terms of being over-time I haven't seeing a JRPG announced for the 360 since The Last Remenant. Yes there were those two Atlus games but those were games that were already released on the 360 in Japan some time ago that are being localized for the American market. Having that said I could imagine seeing RPG's from Japan in the vain of Final Fantasy XII (essentially The Last Remenant) finding their place on the 360, I just doubt the more "Japanese" oriented ones will.

What i heard software sales for Ps3 is bad no matter what game it is, nah i hope this game go multiplat.
so ps3"isnt" selling in the us??
but yet you say the 360 "isnt" selling "well" in japan
which is such a warped view because it's totally the other way around but the ps3 is selling ok in us and its the 360 that isnt selling in japan.
WHy does everybody think this game is gonna be exclusive.
PS3 isnt selling in the US
And 360 isnt selling well in Japan.
Namco needs both markets.
so i expect this to be another 360/PS3 multiplat.jg4xchamp
ok not as extreme, but i dont think now is when u take chances with the PS3 when its only beating the other HD console in only 1 region and is losing by alot in the biggest region.so ps3"isnt" selling in the us??
