Jurassic World: Evolution announced. Planet Coaster Devs, Frontier developing. Coming Summer 2018

It has been announced that Planet Coaster devs, Frontier are working on a brand new park building Sim, based on Jurassic World. The game was revealed at Microsoft's GamesCon event, is confirmed for Xbox, PC and PS4, and is set to release Summer 2018.

I have to be honest guys. This is my dream game. Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is my second favorite game of all time. I still play it to this day trying out different mods, but while it's still fun, it's also extremely limited in terms of contents (even with mods) and it's age is starting to show.

I wanted something like this when to come around when Jurassic World was first released, and I was so disappointed when it was announced that we where instead just getting a mobile game. So to see now, that we're getting a real sequel to that, and it's been developed by the guys behind Planet Coaster, one of the best theme park sims in years, gets me so excited. This is already now my most anticipated game. I can't wait for this.

I'm a massive JP/JW fan. I'm keeping my eye on this. The trailer has me excited.

yea i have a PC.... and i love jurassic park.... but idk... creating games arent my thing anymore.

not going to lie though. if it was on switch i would buy it. just cuz it would be easier to setup and switch from game to game.

The trailer looks like a million cheesy mobile game trailers. Buuuut I do have respect for Frontier in doing the tycoon subgenre a great service with Planet Coaster. I'll keep a tentative eye on this one.

Yeah what you do is you build an awesome fully functioning park with all the great dinos and then you get slightly bored so you save up and then remove one or two fences....

No Switch version, cause no third party. Cause even though they said they had "unprecedented partnerships" (just like last time) they aren't giving you shit.

if the graphics are anywhere as good as the trailer i would be amazed.

It is surprising there aren't more of them than there are. They were massive monsters. It seems like a given they would be in more games.

It's a pity this is based on Jurassic World though. Movie was frustrating.

ya the movie wasnt the best. something about the cgi dinos didnt look anywhere near as good as the original movie

Operation Genesis is one of my favourite builder games, I'll take a DINO PARK over a hospital or theme park any day ;)

Yeah, this looks super fun. If that is ingame footage to boot...looks great. I love me some creation games (civ, planet coaster, cities, etc). Add in some T Rex action so I can wreak havoc sounds super cool. Will we be able to make mutant dino's like a venom spitting Brachiosaur with a T Rex head and sword tale? lol.

Awesome news, Planet Coaster is a great game that does the "tycoon" legacy justice. Frontier makes excellent games (Elite: Dangerous is fantastic as well, though not for everyone).

It's not about that movie specifically, it's about building a Jurassic Park of your own design. It's not a movie-only game, though the trailer admittedly does lead one to think that a bit. But since when have we ever taken CGI trailers as gospel? We should know better...

If it is half as brilliant and open as Planet Coaster, you can do whatever you want with the tools at your disposal.

Sad you want another shooter. Dozens of good shooters every single year, I'd be surprised if we get even a handful of quality sim/tycoon/city builder games.

Looks very cool. I love Jurassic Park/World and dinosaurs in general so I'm definitely keeping my eye on this game.
