Just finished ALAN WAKE.... WOW!

This game is magnificent... This is without a doubt one of the best games this gen.... right up there with UC2, Bioshock, Mass Effect 2, GOW3, GeOW, SMG 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption, etc.

I'm pretty sure I have what the DLC will be figured out... maybe... hehe. Or at least what the sequel will be, based on what happens at the end. The game keeps you unsure about whats going on, right up til the end... gives you enough to make you feel that you accomplished something, but holds back some things, making you want more. And still a little confused.

I don't understand how this didn't score AAA... some say it was short... but it didn't feel that way to me. I really don't know what my play time was... but I'd guess 8-10 hours at least.

I love alan wake, and i'm glad you enjoyed it.

I sort of agree with the whole lack of memorable moments thing though.

Yeh, i dunno what's up with everyone hating on the ending. [spoiler] You accomplished your goal from the start, saving Alice. As for the "it's not a lake, it's an ocean", interpret it how you wish, go discuss the ending on Alan Wake forums, it's more fun that they don't wrap it all up neat and nice. Besides it's meant to be a series, find out what happens in Season 2. [/spoiler] AAllxxjjnn

i thought it was really bad and boring imho. alanwake made me sleep no wonder they flopped it

Lol, yes, the intentionally went on System Wars to find out hype, and then because the reviewer was so bored by the game, they thought they'd flop it :roll:

On topic: Fantastic game. RDR has it beat though for me, and i'm only 5 or so hours into that :P

I'm working on SMG2 also.... and RDR. SO hard to find time to play them all. Plus I have a ton of other games I want to put more time into.

I found the game incredible as well. The atmosphere of the game is right up there with bioshock. [spoiler] Also the revelation that the clicker and possibly Alan Wake himself were creations of Tom Z blew my mind and opened up many new possibilities for future games [/spoiler]

It is hands down the best adventure i played on consoles nd one of my best games this genration together with te latestDemon Soul, Mass Effect 2, Muramasaha,Whispered World

Yeah, the game is fantastic. I wish there were more game like that and the old school RE and SH games. Still it has some flaws....i agree with gamespot score.

How odd, I made a similar thread about Alan Wake earlier and it got locked. Anyway, I am playing it right now as well and it is easily my favorite game of the year so far.
