Wow Devil May Cry 4 was soo sick. I loved it from start to finish. Much Better action game then Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Great story, gameplay and the action is just so intense. Nero was a badd*** with the Devil Bringer and Dante he was just so smooth with all his style and all his moves.
Decent bosses though. Although most of the time the stupid camera and tired "Boss chambers" where you are locked in a room with a boss ruined the some of the fights.
DMC 4 felt like a game designed 10 years ago. meh.
not sure about the best action game this gen, but i REALLY enjoyed it from start to finish. really like the bloody palace mode it unlocks after you finish it. loads of fun

I heard theyre pretty much the same game, but the PS3 controller works better with it for some reason.
Well I played the demo on both PS3 and 360, and I enjoyed both controllers, but I prefer the 360 controller most of the time because of the left analog placement.

I Hate that. "The best comedy of the year!" next month "The BESTER comedy of the year!" next month "The BESTEST comedy of the year, and then some!".
Its an amazing game, and really enjoyed it, but in my opinion its definately not the BEST action game.... Personally GOW 1 & 2 were better... But that's my personal opinion...
Obviously you haven't tried playing DMD mode, or anything higher than human mode for that matter, if you button mash you're screwed, it involves a lot more combo and skill than even Ninja Gaiden, and yes I own both and enjoyed DMC 4 a lot more, it's just our opinion, not saying Ninja Gaiden sucks, I'm just saying I liked DMC 4 more.

BS, iplayed every DMC and there nots difficult as NG (maybe sigma and that ariel move) even Hell or Hell mode

I played both of these games on normal mode and no higher and to me DMC 4 was harder then what Sigma was on normal. Now in DMC 4 most of the regular mobs are pretty easy but when you get to the boss fights it's like they are set at a higher dificulty level. I loved the boss fights though.
DMC4 great game but i hated the backtracking and you fight the the same bosses on three different occasions first with Nero then with Dante and then again at the end of the game. otherwise it was good. but i liked sigma a litte better

Thats exactly how I fel when I played the game. Its a last gen game with a semi next gen look to it.
Umm...I'll reserve judgement until I play NG 2 and GoW 3.

Your topic title nor thread ever mentioned that DMC 4 is the CURRENT best console game this gen. I could only assume that you meant that DMC 4 is the best console game this gen period for the entire gen. Currently? Yeah, DMC 4 might be the best action game this gen so far. But better ones are coming.
