maybe MS were just testing the water and will just release a 120 gig add on for much less than 180 bucks. That'd put everyone in their place. Itd be smart on their part since "The Elite" was a hooorrible decision.MorisUkunRasikWhy's it a horrible decision? They just released a new model and are keeping the old ones. They're offering some extra features instead of forcing you to buy them. If anything, they'll just lose some money in production. They'll still continue to dominate the console market.

Why's it a horrible decision?TrashfaceMicrosoft usually doesn't make these. But this is one case where Sony's philosophy is far more consumer-friendly than that of Microsoft's: "We view every single PlayStation consumer as an elite consumer. Meaning no one is going to get shortchanged at the end of the day, whether they bought one on day one or just yesterday."

Look at the sales and library. It says it all. You're just plainly wrong.

People will be confused? Wrong. Offering 3 models is no where near as confusing as shopping for other electronics. They offer 3 different models with a few different features. Very simple. It was a good idea. MS is and probably will continue to dominate this gen's console market. The premiums will continue to sell and some premium owners are actually going to buy the Elite. They'll sell the old system which will be resold. That means more MS game sales. Great move. Microsoft is dominating this gen. This is a fact.

it is a terrible business decision! it just gana show the tru value of a ps3. MS is basically accepting ownage. Every thing MS said sony didnt need the put it in the elite. MS messed up by making a core system anyway. No HDD in a core, are you serious, thats like going backwards! Â
i think its an elaborate april fools joke, probably just in denial, but if its true, then i dserve something. like a cookie.snakeofsolidQuite an elaborate April Fool's day joke - especially considering you can already pre-order it on circuitcity.com I can't wait for the EBGames preorders to start, oh god, I have to have this. I'm not going to sleep for a month.

stupid decision! develpment cost and claiming ownage to sony. Elite gives more value to a core ps3. they basically gave up their advantage, price! Â

I did say that early adopters got shafted. If the Elite had been out at launch, I definitely would have avoided the Premium and picked up the Elite. I wasn't given that opportunity at launch. Why wait 1.5 years to release this?
