Translation : Yea, you need the wireless adapter plus the wireless router. Or... just plug the thing in with a network cable. As it stands, direct cables are still superior in quality and reliability to wireless.

Unless you bought that Wi-fi adapter for 360 you can't wirelessly connect to that router.

else use that RJ45 Cord (broad band cable) that came with your 360 and connect it to your router, have your internet 360 settings set to auto and that should do it.

Any third party adapter can work with the 360, some of which won't even cost you 30 bucks. Even the old Xbox 1 adapter works. Just find it used. You can probably get it for 20 bucks. Maybe 30.
