it's not that big of a deal really.

As much as it sucks that I won't be able to use basically ANYTHING I got for Christmas (CoD4, Rock Band, and AC were all for the 360), it doesn't bother me that much. Sure, I'm not happy about it, but mine has lasted since whenever Dead Rising came out (I bought it the day of, that's why I got a 360 originally). I can't ask for too much morewith me playing as often as I do.

Plus, since MS replaces it for free as it's a hardware problem, it's not like I'm paying for it. Really it's just the inconvenience of a week or two without xbox, but that's why I have my Wii, DS, and last gen systems (still haven't gotten around to beating GoW2 yet lol). I thinkthe RROD haskind of been blown out of proportion. As long as MS is being mature about it and admitting their problem (and paying for the repairs, as opposed to the customer) then it's really not that big of an issue.

You can't ask for much more? :| I use my computer constantly - and it would be completely unnacceptable for it to last any less than 4 or 5 years. Same goes for any of my gaming hardware.

I had the RROD last year. I really didn't care cause I got it fixed. But it is a very large problem that needs to be solved, unfortunatly MS seems to be taking a really, really long time to solve it. Sucks for 360 owners who haven't got it yet, because you will.

Wouldn't it be better if either the Wii or PS3 could match the quality of games on the 360?

Sure, but they don't. I love the Wii, and strongly dislike the PS3 (due to the lack of games), but neither of them has put out the same level of games as the 360. Not even close. Not even if you put them together and multiplied them by 2 (maybe then, but still not by much).

I had mine do it last month, and while it sucks going without a 360 for afew weeks, they send me the replacement fast, and it was a new one, also got a month free of Live Gold and the TMNT game fore some reason (didn't really want it, but will not turn down free games)

Sure, but they don't. I love the Wii, and strongly dislike the PS3 (due to the lack of games), but neither of them has put out the same level of games as the 360. Not even close. Not even if you put them together and multiplied them by 2 (maybe then, but still not by much).

I would rather have a working console with a handful of amazing games, than a dead console with tons of amazing games. :P I kid...I kid... I'm Wii60 and loving it. If I get the RROD - I will be less than pleased.

Glad I havn't had any hardware problems. Playing pen palls with MS doesn't sound like much fun.

I thought maybe somehow I avoided it, since it's lasted this long. But no haha, it happened. Man I was so close to getting to use the Desert Eagle in CoD4 grrr.
