Kazunori Yamauchi: The [GT5] Discs are being stamped as we speak.

We just asked Kazunori Yamauchi, the father of Gran Turismo, in an interview here at SEMA, the question on everyone's minds — when will GT5 finally be released? His response: "The discs are being stamped as we speak."

The picture above is Kazunori making a disc-stamping motion with his hands as he answered our query on the ever-shifting release date. We did talk about a number of different topics other than the release — and we'll have more coming shortly — but for the moment, we thought we'd at least bring you that response.

A cool picture that I would like to see is the disc inside the case with him holding it up. If it wasn't for the delay, I along with millions of other people would have been playing this game right now

Lets put it this way, a (currently) slightly flexible release date, meaning they have the flexibility to create more copies before release, even if releasing slightly later, is better that giving a concrete release date then only making 2 million and finding it completely sold out in a couple of days, for a long time.

Isn't it usually 4-6 weeks between a game going Gold and being in stores? So middle of December is a real possibility.
