OK I've been talking about getting a PS3 recently. Tomorrow i have a chance to make an even trade for an 80 gig PS3. I'm kind of torn in between and don't know what to do. PS3 has killzone and 360 has Gears 2.
1 new game costs $60 sacrifice buying 6 or seven games and viola...you have enough money to buy a ps3... then you get the best of both worlds. I don't recommend replacing a system for another system. Keep what you have and find a way of getting the other one.
I say go for it. Once you go PS3 you never.. well the 360s cost way less so you can always get it later whenever you like. I mean it's easier to save up and get the 360 faster than PS3. So if you really want a PS3 now and you have the chance, why not.
Well for hardware ps3 destroys xbox360 so all thats left is exclusives and since youve played all 360's exclusives and none of ps3 well the ps3's the way to go.

NEVER sell systems. I dont even sell games, even if they're bad. Every game I've ever sold I've ended up regretting. I dont want to even think about selling a console. In other words only sell games if its to pay the bills, or something as important.
Go for it. The PS3 is a vastly superior machine and in 2009, its game library obliterates what the 360 has to offer. Plus, think of all the BluRay movies you will be getting to watch.

i'm guessing both of you owned original xboxes last gen, since you both care so much about techinical specifications
as for the TC, try looking for more games you want for both consoles, if console A has more games then console B then you know what to do

Are these the only games that matter? I know its personal choice but I really found Gears to be a little mediocre (although I do enjoy horde!) Thank god it is personal choice.:P I prefer the 2nd over the first, and it'd be alot more fun if they could fix the servers. I haven't played it in a while tho.

I still no point, unless it's a brand new PS3 then he could swap the 360 for it, then sell the PS3, buy another 360 and he would have made a profit.
If you have a couple hundred bucks right now, I'd say trade and buy a new 360. Otherwise, NO, NO, NO. The general consensus is true. You'll regret getting rid of your console, especially since you have (at least) one exclusive that you really like. Right now, my PS3 is my blu-ray player. I have 39 blu-ray movies and 3 games. I have 23 games for my 360, and generally, it gets more use than the PS3.
