I love his reviews, i love On the Spot (even though Rich left), I love his pod casts, I love what he brings... what he brought...to this site.

Jeff was a huge part of GS, and now it feels like its heart and soul have just been ripped away. Sorry if you don't fee the same way.

i think for a lot of people, it isn't that they care so much about him, but that he totally got screwed over. i may not have agreed with his views on some games and we may not have even shared the same interests in game genres, but it is definitely not a good sign when someone gets fired for not artificially inflating a review score. it makes you question all reviews for big name games, wondering if things were sugar-coated b/c of some advertising dollars.

I love how for a while everyone was like "Oh he's biased!" but now that he's been fired it's become an instant cry-fest.

gamespot has lost a lot of cred peeps just keep fighting back let everyone know how we feel. if theres an add for a game its review score is probably going to be higher than what it should have! thats bull !!!!

Yes, and if somebody I knew got fired for something like this... for being honest and doing his job properly, and for not bending over and taking it for the corporate dollars, then hell yes i'd whine like this. Stand up for what you believe in man, don't be a coward.

Good on ya bud, I too have sent emails, signed petitions, signed blogs, and am whining in forums. You can stop and do what you need to, if it doesn't bother you that much then that's fine. But as Edmund Bourke said "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing". I'm going to carry on whining in these forums, trust me.
