I've owned my 360 since launch (well, not the original one. It RRoDed, and so did 4 of it's replacements). Except for the hardware issues, I've enjoyed it. A couple Christmases ago, I picked up a PS3 primarily as a Blu-Ray player and to play games like MLB: The Show and Metal Gear Solid second. Now, the PS3 is my main gaming system and I have to say I'm more interested in what's releasing on it in the next couple years than what will show up on the 360.

This is kind of a t(l)ame System Wars post, but for the 360 diehards, what exclusive games are on the horizon that really keep you hanging on to that system? What about the next Microsoft system? Do you think Halo: Reach is the last Halo franchise game to appear on this generation? Same for Gears 3?

Thoughts?

I can't fault you for wanting to get rid of the system if you had that many hardware issues. I've had mine replaced, and my son's replaced, but since then I've had 0 issues. If you already have the 360 , and the PS3, just keep it, there are tons of games still coming. Halo Reach and Gears 3 are just a couple. I'm sure Microsoft has some more stuff in the works, as far as terms of exclusive content, or exclusive games, so it would be worth it to keep it. Or I'll give you $75 hard earned US dollars for it right now! lol

If you like HALO and Gears then I keep it, but if you dont then and there isnt anything else on it that you want then sell it. No sence on paying for online when your not using it.

Sell the 360 and buy games for your PS3 that will beat the 360 single-handedly (like LBP2, GT5, God of War 3, Demon's Souls etc.).
Buy an additional game per year with the money you save by not having a XBL subscription anymore.

I'd only keep it if you enjoy the Halo and Gears franchise. Gears 3 and Halo: Reach look to be pretty amazing and fun, and I'm sure Microsoft will be releasing some other good games. I find I switch between what I use more quite a lot. Sometimes I play my PS3 way more, but then sometimes it will be my 360. I'd say hold onto it, and see what happens for a while longer :)

Up to you on what games you like. Remember the PC/360 multiplats if you don't have a gaming PC, such as Mass Effect 2 and Fable III.

I always prefer not to sell a system, as often I find something after that I want to play.

Up to you, if you aren't looking forward to Halo Reach then I guess you can sell it, I wouldn't recommend selling it though cuz 360 don't sell well second hand.

I'm not keeping the 360 primarily for the exclusives. I keep it for both multiplats AND the exclusives. PS3 is an exclusives-only console for me unless the PS3 version of a multiplat is getting some cool exclusive bonuses. (like Dead Space 2)

lately the PS3 is definitely has been releasing more games to my liking.

but mass effect and fable games are enough to keep me from ever considering to sell my 360. Also im looking forward to another splinter cell, since conviction had awesome gameplay mechanics... the game just seemed too short and needed more a fleshed out online experience. But the revamped gameplay has me really excited for a sequel.

plus there is the added benefit of better looking multiplats... and better online service. I honestly wouldnt consider selling my 360 or my ps3. My wii... i might sell and buy kinect though.

Yes. And by doing so he misses out on all the great PC/360 titles the PS3 doesn't get. Your plan is flawless!

If you still play it then keep it, if its gathering dust then sell it. Can't believe you've had 4 replacements, im still on my first one but don't play it anymore... its a dvd player in another room now. PS3 took over for me as soon as i got one tbh. Sure if i never had a ps3 then i'd probably be a xbox fanboy but now that i have both i can see both sides and won't go into detail which is without a doubt on atleast 50 topics in this section alone. I will buy the gears of wars because i like them a lot so my xbox aint redundant just yet.

It has like no exclusives announced for the future, according to lemming logic of course. However it does have reach, gears and the new crytek game has exclusive.. I'd keep it around for the new crytek game.

Why do people always come here for this type of advise? For instance, I would say keep your Xbox and sell your PS3, that's what I would do if I had the chance. Was that helpful?

No, i say never get rid of a system, you will end up regretting it. As soon as you sell it, MS will release a game you want to play. My primary system is also PS3 but MS dose release a game every once and a while i want to play.

Exactly. Plus System Wars users have alot of biases when it comes to suggestions, so you won't really get anywhere if you ask for one here. Oh and to answer the OP's question, just keep it. You won't get much in return at this point in the Xbox's lifespan plus there might be a few exclusives in the future to your liking.

If you don't have a gaming PC, keep it since there are plenty of "console exclusives" for you. If you do, then sell it.
