Keep my PS3 or go 360?

I got a 360 December 06 and had it with no problems til December 07. Then, within the months of Decemeber 07 and April 08 it red ringed 3 times. This pissed me off but I could live with it until my friends started telling em about PS3. I had planned to get one at first in 06 but since I was in the UK it got delayed til March 07 as you know. I eventually traded my 360 for a PS3 and while I liked MGS4 I found that a lot of other games have been disappointments. LBP's community is not as big as I hoped and levels aren't coming out, Resistance 2 was just a little generic and Motorstorm was.....well. It seems as though the majority of the PS3 userbase is playing Cod4 or Cod5, which is stupid. I am seriously considering going back to 360 as I admit to perhaps jumping the barrel when my mates were persuading me. Fable 2, Gears 2, Halo 3 are all games I know I could easily get into and enjoy on 360. The only thing making me stop and ask you guys and not going straight out and trading is that Killzone 2 looks very, very good and I'm not sure wether or not to beleive if the PS3's online and graphics are really gonna take off and surpass 360 any time soon. So, help please! :)

360's are dirt cheap, just buy another and keep your PS3.

Graphics will not get better then the Xbox, they will always be near enough equal.

As for online, meh PSN is free so don't complain.

@TC your post has quite a few questionable points: "LBP's community is not as big as I hoped" From the Little Big Planet Weekly update: * # of user generated (UG) levels = 177,657 * # of comments = 1,093,491 * # of times Story levels have been played online = 36,661,881 * # of times UG levels have been played online = 22,463,892 * # of levels played online = 59,125,403 That seems pretty big to me. I'll agree that Resistance 2 was kind've generic, but then you go on to talk about Halo 3. Give me a break.EmperorSupreme

Yeah I know Halo 3 is not the most reveloutionary game in the world and it's criminally overrated but my PSN friends list (ie people that I actually know) are all Call of duty addicts whereas on my 360 people played a more varied line up, basically my 360 pals are more hardcore than my PS3 friends. However, I was wondering if you guys think PS3's graphics and online will ever significantly surpass 360 and is the 360 at its peak in terms of graphics? That's all that's holding me back really, I don't want the 360 to start being totally outdone by PS3 in the coming year(s).

I'd keep the PS3 and just save up for the Xbox360.

That's exactly what I do.

95% of my gaming is done on the Xbox360 and the PS3 is only used for exclusives.....and blu-ray. I own an 61" 1080p HDTV and thus, would never trade-in my PS3/blu-ray player. I love me some blu-rays! :lol:

If you're not interested in blu-ray right now, then I'd go Xbox360-only. IMO, it has the best games, best controller, and best online service.

Keep the PS3 and then purchase a 360...then you'll never have to suffer a gaming drought. EVER. When most are looking for new gaming experiences.....you will have multiple. Im overwhelmed with games at all times. Right now I'm deep into Horde Mode of Gears II, just starting Fable II, on the 6th level I believe of Ninja Gaiden 2, Ending MGS4 for a second time....Halfway through Dead Space. I finished Resistance 2, and LBP....oh and I just got Bioshock (yeah I know im late but at least I had a choice of console to get it on...I got the cheaper one for the 360).

You dont want to miss Killzone 2, Im calling it best game of 09. graphics and gameplau look incredible...

And dont even argue against me, no post no matter how logical will make me change my mind :P

I have less friends on 360 but they're more hardcore and play a more varied amount of games whereas on PS3 its either CoD or FIFA, which is fine but boring after a while.
