"We've made a fantastic game. Gundam Musou is the most ordered PlayStation 3 game, but it's just one tenth of the sales we're thinking of.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/767/767135p1.html

This will defitnetly push some consoles next week.

I certainly hope so- the PS3 could use a good push in Japan. It would give some solid momentum for the Euro launch. That said, Namco's official projections are 1 million sold.

WOW, could they ruin the Gundam name any more? I hope they know the Gundam Name can only take a game so far before Gundam fans realize that 90% of Gundam games are crap imo. The only good looking Gundam game coming out any time soon is "Mobile Ops:The one year war" as for Gundam Musou what a travesty to the Gundam name imo.

How can they put out so many crappy Gundam games thus ruining what is left of the Gundam name. It's like taking the names Halo,MGS or FF and making a crappy game putting one of those names on it and let the huge Fanbase of loyal and HardCore fans buy the game, while the dev make money on a game that is total crap.

Take CrossFire for example how could they do that to what could have been a great Gundam game?

Not many people are aware but Japan actually gets some good Gundam titles, the US on the otherhand has only gotten 1-2 decent games and the rest suck thats why nobody over here has any faith in any Gundam game being good....that being said, I'm not hyping this myself as I don't really know anything about it.

It's Dynasty Warriors with Gundams in it. Watch some videos or read some info about it, i say it's another one of those games that use the Gundam name to sell nothing more.

The entire HUD, down to the last detail, in Gundam Musou, mimics Dynasty Warriors. This thing is an embarrassment to the PS3. To me, it is worse than Gundam Crossfire. How many of these idiotic games are they going to make before they figure out how to make an innovative game?

Gundam Musou for the PS3 has achieved some great ratings from the judges involved in the Famitsu gaming publication. From the four judges it scored a 9,8,8 and 8 respectively. Things are starting to look up for the PS3 as of late it seems.

Were you around when Gundam fans were hyping Crossfire as a totaly ausome and new type of  Gundam game and look how it turned out, as a matter of fact look at most of the Gundam games. Don't ever take a Fans word on something look at the game from a Gamers prospective, how good is the gameplay, does it have good replay value. does the game bring someting new to the table ect...

That looks and sounds about as much like Gundam as 360's Shadowrun looks and sounds like the real Shadowrun. When some shots with them in Gundam come out and there are more details I may change my mind, but right now I can at least say Musou has the artistic style of Gundam, not Earth Defense Force.

please, please, PLEASE just give us ONE decent Gundam game! I can only enjoy building the models, reading the manga, and watching the anime so much before I need to try playing a game, but they're all so bad that it would probably kill my gundam faith.

The reviews he cited were Famitsu's, not some random score. Granted I find Famitsu to be very erratic, it's still a highly respected magazine for reviews as a whole.

Im sorry but most of that makes no sense to me. As for Mobile Ops it is the closest thing to Gundam i have ever seen in a video game. Have you ever seen any of the Gundam animes? "A" Most Gundam games are far from the animes and "B" go watch "MGS The 08th MS Team" Best gundam anime imo, it well show you what REAL Mobile Suit fighting is like. Not this GOD mode Gundam crap that most Gundam games and alot of the Gundam animes show.

Yes, I've seen Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Gundam 0084, 0086, Gundam Seed, some of the original, and part of one episode of SD Gundam if you count that (I don't). That game looks more like Earth Defense Force than any of the Gundam animes I've ever seen.

I have never herd of 0084 or 0086 i have herd of "0080 War in the pocket" and "0083 stardust memory's" I also got no idea how you could ever think Mobile Ops looks like Earth Defense in any way. BTW 3 of those Gundam Animes have the GOD mode crap were a Grunt will die from a stray hit to the leg while the main character can survive a HUGE explosion and get shot all to hell and live WTF!!

So i guess thats how you would think most Gundam games are correct and Mobile Ops be the odd ball, but it's more of a Battlefied Gundam, Gundam/Mech Sim. It's like they took The 08th MS Team and of course the One Year War and made a game out of it. :)

I actually thought Crossfire was Gundum: Mobile Suit when I first saw it. Because they announced Mobile Suit first then they announced Crossfire's release date. I thought they had changed the name of the game and then the game flopped and I was shocked because the game looked like it was going to be amazing in graphics and gameplay.

Then I relaized they were two toatally seperate games and I am excited again because that game I thought was going to be amazing and a graphical powerhouse for PS3 has not been released yet. :D

Um... "Mobile Ops:The One Year War" is X360 only, it's a FPS/TPS Battlefield type shooter and it's aimed for the Western Market so i guess thats why it's X360 only. Sorry for the bad news, if you didn't already know.

As for that game called "Mobile Suit Gundam" it is now called "Mobile Ops:The One Year War" for the western market and "Mobile Suit Gundam:Operation Troy" in the Eastern market aka japan ect..

Like how does a anime where Gundam's are piloted in a Cockpit aka FPS turns into a TPS? And when did Gundams not shoot? Im not meaning to bash PS3 Gundam games it's just this guys logic is whack.

On this note, do any of you all think there well ever be a "AAA" Gundam game?
