You can Choose anything such as people, websites and magsĀ from the video game industry

Person- Miyamoto. His games since mario 64 only reaches kids and loyal fans of the series. Overated developer in my book because his games feel the same. Real developers can create all type of games.

Web Site- I really hate the forums on SOny's website. The reason is because they have the lamest mods out of the sites i been in.

Magazine-Ā  Cant think of one now

Hah, Miyamoto?

He's more relevant than ever now.Ā  He created Nintendogs which is the game that singlehandlyĀ started it's success.Ā  Not only can he create a game with suchĀ non-gamer appeal, he's still catering to the core gamer withĀ New Super Mario Bros andĀ Twilight Princess, the biggest traditional games on the DS and Wii respectively.

Wii Sports?Ā  Quite a bit differentĀ from thoseĀ other games eh?Ā  Yep, Miyamoto too.

His upcoming games are Wii Health Pack, Wii Music, Mario Galaxy and Zelda Phantom Hourglass and you can bet they'll all be massive hits too

Im sorry but I dont agree with the people saying that Peter moore should retire. Yes he is over enthusiastic about his games but still the games he has made are excellent....Populus...that is a classic. Fable ofcourse allknow that it did not deliver on all front but it was still an awesomly fun game. Black and White...simple genius but not exactly somethign that would be apreciated by the mainstream. And What has KEn K done for games...

I think Mr Moore should just learn how not to be so testy during interviews.Ā  I guess people are a little more direct with him than they are with, say, Mr Hirai, or Mr Harrison, but even so, sometimes I think he encourages it a bit by responding irritably; it hurts his image.Ā  When he's in a good mood, he's glib, snarky, funny.Ā  And he needs to quit it with the tattoos.

Ā I want Mr Miyamoto to start coming up with things that are both new and interesting to me.Ā  Nintendogs sold extremely well, but I'd never buy a handheld so I could play with a virtual pet. Ā  And I'm completely tired of the old standards, it's been over twenty years now.Ā  At one time, Zelda, Mario and Metroid were new.Ā  I haven't had that feeling for a Nintendo game ever since then.Ā  I don't want to see Mr Miyamoto's resignation, just some great, new games, the kind he used to make.

Ā I haven't heard from Mr Fils-Aime for months.Ā  What's he up to? Ā

Miyamoto hasnt developed a game(specifically directed a game) since Ocarina of Time or Mario 64. Hes been doing other stuff, more like an advisor for nintendo. Please SuperMario Galaxy is like a comeback tour for him. Miyamoto is the man he, in not one way is he overrated. Every developer wants to be like a Miyamoto.(example of that is Kojima). For what he did through out his career, he is the legen he has been hyped to be. He may lose his touch soon, but all the greats eventually hit a wall. I dont think Miaymoto hit it yet.

anyway i say Phil Harrison he seems to be an idiot. Sony is way to good of a company to allow this guy to make them look stupid. I may not care for the PS3, but in no way is Sony stupid.

Ā

What do you mean? Of course it matters. It matters so much, I'm not interested in Nintendo's newest console, and will probably never buy it.

I never said anything like "Wii is/will be a commercial failure." I described what I would like to see from Mr Miyamoto. Whether the games are interesting to me or not is crucial when I think of what I would like to see. I hope you will agree with me on that.

Edit--oh yeah, on topic, I didn't try to advocate his resignation, either.

Peter Molyneux - Made some pretty good games (Black & White etc.) but ...many of his newer titles leave a lot to be desired.Ā  (I'm looking at you, Fable.)

Website - can't think of any right now...

Magazine - once again can't think of any...

Jack Tretton, anyone who's going to buy a PS3 for $1200 and then subsequently get ownded by the biggest most famous webcomic in the world probably deserves to step down.

As for the Miyamoto comment, Miyamoto leaving would be a signal that the gaming industry apocalypse was coming.

Peter Moore hasn't been involved in the creation of games.Ā  He's the Corporate VP of Microsofts Interactive Entertainment Business. The guy you're talking about is Peter Molyneux.

I thank Miyamoto for great games like Super Mario 3 and TLOZ, but he should have retired years ago.

If you think his last GDC conference were his own words you are very mistaken.Ā
