Kids and Parents do not buy 360s or PS3s

I work at Toys R Us and was moved to R zone a couple weeks ago..

I've sold 1 360 and zero PS3s the entire time I've worked in R Zone

Every few minutes or so someone will ask for a Wii.. I'll sell Hanna Mantana, Bratz, High School Musical, more than any 360 and PS3 combined..

Only DS and Wii games sell at toys r us..

just thought I'd let you guys know..

Most 12+ kids think the Wii is too kiddy.

You'll see like one copy of RE4 just sitting there for hours..

Alot of people are going to pick up an Arcade when they can't find a Wii.Pripyat

we'll see man..but I seriously get asked about Wiis 24/7.. the parents don't give up..

I have only sold one Xbox 360 premium and that's it..

i don't get it, how is this suppose to stop me from buying a console. i already have a 360 adn ps3, don't want a wii. is toys r us bad or r zone. what the hell is going on.

LOLI was just thinking this.

I was in best buy today perusing the games section and i see this 40 something year old man come up to a sales associate on the floor, walk him over to the wii display, and say "I wanted to buy one ofthese... Wii's". Just like that, lol. The clerk said "...uh, we might be sold out here, lemme check..." and i missed the rest of it because the rock band demo was too loud and i was walking away.

Seriously tho, you can't not sell the wii, no matter what store you work in. If that Amazon deal goes thru and i get offered it I'll buy one for 80 bucks... for sure.

It just depends on location. I've been working there for 6 months now (in R-Zone since 2nd week), and whileI will sell a crapload of HSM-Sing It's, Carnival Games, and DS's, our store actually moves quite a few consoles.360 sales outnumbered the PS3 sales by about 4 to 1 until the 40GB dropped, now it's about 1.5 to 1 in favor of 360. Parents are buying them all, and they have been, give it time, you'll see.bez2083

I work 30+ hours a week all in R Zone and have sold 1 360 and 0 PS3s.. Our store is one of the most popular stores too.

Hmmmm.... if that's the way it is at one R Zone, that must be the case everywhere. Maybe Bill Gates bought the rest of the 12 million 360s in the world. i_like_pizza

That's the last place I would have thought, behind gamestop/eb best buy, wal mart, target, k mart, game crazy, lord I forgot Toys r Us existed when I turned 10

Maybe because they are the only people clueless enough to pay Toys R Us prices? I'm not bashing the Wii. I have a Wii and love it...and I'm much older than any kid and I don't (yet) have any kids of my own. But the Toys R Us in my city is the last place I would go for videogames. Poor selection, poor prices, poor service.

It's a shame to because it USED to be my #1 place to go. But yeah, people who know anything about gaming will probably go elsewhere.
