KILLZONE 2: Best Shooter EVER for a Console?

Well of course there was much debate into what the "Graphics King" was and usually it came down to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Gran Turismo for the PS3 and Gears of War II for the XBOX 360.

Now, I've been playing games since the PS1 and I've played through everything from DOOM for PS1 to Shadow of The Collossus, God Of War, EVERYTHING. I work at GameStop so I have the oppurtunity to at least try any and every game I may want to, if only for a few minutes. But, with that...

Killzone 2 has to be the most technically advanced and STUNNING game I've ever seen. The lighting is INSANE!!! It adds so much to the game. The dust effects, constant motion blur, INTENSE detail, amazing HD surround sound effects, advanced online play with (in my experience so far) NO lag!! There is an in-game clan ladder with rewards, a ranking/class system, balanced weapons, and varying strategies to be used.

All around, is there anyone that can disagree that this may be, ALL AROUND, the most in-depth FPS ever made? Of course, we're going hear the Crysis comparison but even WITH that I think that Killzone 2 could give Crysis a run for its money as far as graphics are concerned.

I agree with you, it definetly is the best looking game. To me it looks better than Crysis. It makes Halo 3 look last generation (No exaggeration).

The campaign is amazing I am only on the third level but it is challenging, fun and insanely atmospheric. I say GS, even though they gave it a 9, underrated it (Typical). It is the best game I have played this generation, the MP is also great!

Halo 3 reigns supreme with score sales and topping XBL so, so long after it's original release and options & features beyond. :P

KZ2 may be the best looking FPS on a console, but it doesn't have the depth of Halo3.

Halo3 has 4 player co-op, Forge and Theater, all of which KZ2 doesn't have.

No I was talking about what is the best console shooter game as the thread title states. I said halo 3 you said OB. I forgot about the OB and agreed that it AND Halo 3 could be considered the best console shooters of course the OB i'm referring to is the AAA (360) version not that joke they put on ps3

Golden eye, perfect dark, TOB, Half Life 1, Halo: CE, Halo 3 just to name a few.

Best on the PS3? Sure but only if TOB is still crap on it, if it's been patched it can sit in second. Graphics don't make the game no matter how much you scream about them. ;)

I would like for you to show me proof that Killzone has a fanbase close to Halo. I'm pretty sure that it's not even close. Killzone doesn't even come close to sales or fanbase of halo. I hope that what you said was a joke, because it made me laugh a little bit.
