Great news. I'm still very cautious about Killzone 2 since I hated Killzone and Killzone Liberation. I hope Guerrilla can really make me a believer with a demo.

Nah. This is a good thing because the media already says that it is awesome. So if they can get it out there to more people then it will help the game. It might even help the game if it gets less thangreat reviews.

There was the Halo3 Beta :|Yeah to find and fix problems. The killzone demo wont be doing that. If it isnt good tehn its gonna kill all the hype.

Bioshock and Warhawk just proved demo's are good. And who the heck cares about the hype if the game score 9 or higher?

The only reason it would kill the hype is if it really sucks but i doubt that will be the case with KZ2 (but of course lemmings will disagree). If the game is as great as it seem then the people who have doubt will most likely hop on the hype train.

I actually hated the Warhawk Beta, then I took the chance and bought it, and now I love it....

Indeed. It's precisely the reason why Epic chose not to make a Gears demo.
That said, as a PS3 owner, I can't help but feel just a little excited about this.
Then again if they had made a Gears demo, would it of hurt the success of the game?
Looking at the bigger picture: no, it would have still sold millions regardless. There are however, believe it or not, people out there who didn't like Gears of War all that much. Having no demo ropes those few thousand people (guesstimate) into a purchase, which means even more money for Epic/Microsoft. If I was in Epic's shoes, I may as well maximise my profits and save myself the time and bother of a demo.

Demo's aren't pointless. That should be obvious.
Some demos kill hype. That is a fact. I imagine Factor 5 was confident in their product before the reviews started rolling in.
In the end this is a big risk that could create the kind of feedback they're hoping to *not* get. Killzone 2--unlike Halo 3--isn't a *must purchase* for PS3 owners. People didn't buy PS3's for Killzone (contrast with many 360 owners, who bought their system just for Halo 3).
