Well, considering it's only 2 maps, hopefully for owners it won't be too much, but also looking out how expensive other map packs are for a small number of maps, who knows.
It should be free considering how badly it lacks maps as it is. Gears of war 2 launched with 15 maps it had almost double that of killzones. Anything more than £5 for 2 maps is daylight robbery anyway.

An I am the same age, and I cannot stand PC gaming. What is good for one is not always good for all.

I basically just seen it all nothing excites me anymore, played just about every fps on the market and played em since wolfenstein 3d. that train map is kinda a unreal tournament 2004 assault mode trainmap rip off nothing really new to me.

no trolling seriously the level designer's this day and age for first person shooters are some of the worst i seen. Why are all the maps so simplistic now nothing to them, the map designs are so crap and boring it's just like playing in a box/room calling it a map.

And I disagree, as it would seem many do since the genre has exploded, with most people playing them to death online. If they were that terrible to more people, they would not be popular. Like I said, whats good for one is not necessarily good for all.
So what you are "buying" is an unlock key to play the content on the disk? And just two maps? I don't dislike DLC when done right...but this looks like nothing more than gouging.
All i have to say is. Epic - 18 maps, 2 new modes and more skins all free. Valve - loads of extra maps for CSS, TF2 all free. Sony/GG 2 measly maps to ad to the current small amount of 8 most likely about 10 quid. All i can say is RIP OFF. Heres hoping they make major changes to the ingame browser so people can make sure they can avoid servers with the new maps in the map cycles.

I see DLC as selling copies of games, and strengthening comunities, increasing longevity, rather than a quick buck. I mean really now... charging for... maps? Ugh, why o why.
Uh, how is this surprising? Very rarely is DLC free. I don't see the issue. Either buy it or don't but don't complain.

it's not exclusive to killzone 2, but dlc maps and costumes in general should be stopped. Either include them in the original game or make a real effort out of them with like 10 maps, added multiplayer game modes and a single player game addon. Otherwise don't bother.
