Killzone 2 Graphic kings ( Consoles ) ? KZ2 vs GeOW

Hey guys !

Seriously 3 games that had awesome graphics were MGS4, Uncharted and GEARS OF WAR !!!

but yesterday I got a copy of Killzone 2 and the graphics are better than all of them !! I mean Uncharted had more colors and vivid colors but KZ2 is just JAGGIEs FREE and sharp !!!

there are some ugly textures and that's just normal, everygame has that problem but KZ2 is the GK in my mind !!!

No ones played it so how would they know?

The demo is out there

Killzone 2 went through 4 years of development and cost more than Geow and Geow2 put together in both money and dev time.

What am I getting at? Nothing really, just that "graphics king" is because none of the circumstance are considered.

the models are comparable to crysis max on max in gears of war, but crysis wins alittle.

but overall environmental textures gears of war texture's are more consistent and less crappy ones i seen than crysis.

i seen crazier on gears of war .

Its not that its discounted, its just always excluded. You will see in many threads people say "Best graphics excluding Crysis". There is nothing in GS against making selective threads. Thats like saying "Why do people make threads about X360 exclusives only? Shouldnt they talk about the other exclusives!?" Well...no, its their thread, they can do whatever they want. If you want to make a thread about X360 exclusives, go for it. If you want to make a thread about "console exclusives" go for it, you just have to realize that under the system wars rule, you cant use "console exclusives" for ownage reasons. No one here will claim that PS3 owns all because of KZ2 graphics because we have to take Crysis into consideration. No one will say that X360 is the sales winner because we have to take Wii into consideration, but under your own thread, you can discuss whatever you want. If you want to make a thread about X360 "console exclusives" go ahead, but be sure that if you try to use that to claim ownage most people will just ignore you.II_Seraphim_II

I just pointed that by the logic that a game that is on multiples system can't be called exclusive, so can't a game be called graphics king when other games look better.

No, it is not graphics king since it has 1/100 the scale and detail of Fable 2 levels, not even close to as impressive as Fable 2 with the real time light beams lighting, has no foliage and tiny levels, the textures and shaders are mediocre, the environments feel barren

It is one of the most mediocre looking games this generation actually, same as MGS4, real dissapointments that show how PS3 is limited by its RAM and DX9 GPU

Fable 2 and Gears 2 look a million times better, those are easilly graphics kings over the tiny empty levels of Killzone 2, the blur does not make it a graphical acheivement, just a blurry game

Fable 2, Gears 2, Banjo 3 >>>>>> MGS4, LBP, Killzone 2, Uncharted visually and in next gen scale and detail for me

For me the best visuals and huge next gen shaded and detailed worlds are hands down on 360, the most overhyped visuals definatly go to PS3

I just want to say I thought the demo's controls started out a bit choppy when you first jump in and all hell is breaking loose the controls were clunky but then when you get into the smaller battles or in the buildings it ran fine although I still think it wasn't as good as COD:MW yeah it looks great but it still felt like it was missing something that I just cant put my finger on I'm now thinking this is just a rental, we shall see.

I did vote it Graphics king but I did forget about Fable 2 I think some of the environments in that game are truly amazing and you do stop just to look around at the scenery.
