Killzone 2 - Halo series

I liked Killzone 1 better then Halo 1 or 2. :)SpecialForcesOp

To each their own, that what makes gaming so awesome. I, on the other hand, really liked Halo 1 & 2 and thought KZ was laughable. Too many bigs and glitches. I didn't play the handheld version. I hope KZ2 will be better but I will wait til it is released to judge it.

Killzone tries to be Halo? They are very different games in terms of atmosphere and gameplay.

Killzone is a gritty, WWII-esque game focusing on realistic urban and trench combat. The weapons feel heavy and real, and the reloading is great.

Halo focuses on easy, fun gameplay that allows you to have a blast with friends in a more colorful, brightworld than KZ,fighting various aliens. It's more about that mad rush of excitement from running aorund shooting your friends rather than the realistic warfare of Killzone.

Two completely different directions, the only link being the genre.

I think its funny how PS3 fanboys make fun of the Halo series by saying that "Its not innovative and brings nothing 'new' to the FPS genre." Yet they will hype a game (Killzone 2) that trys to be a Halo game!Gta3-fan334

I liked the gunplay in Killzone 1 better. I just like Killzone 1's environments and settings better.

People who think Halo is a godly game are easily impressed. Half Life and Unreal make Halo look like Gizmondo game. Killzone 2 is a make or break, and i dont think anyone here are in their right mind can judge Killzone, simply because we havnt seen squat.

But judging from what the devs have said that the game would "shut critics up", is quite a statement, and "IF" they live up to their expectation,well, it could prove to be a better game than Halo.

Remember, halo is worthless compared to games like Jericho,Unreal 2007, Half Life, Crysis, and interestingly enough, Haze, which looks far more fun than Halo 3 at the moment.

Same here Halo 1 and 2 had no atmosphere IMO just repeating Corridors and such for the SP.

Anyone remember the God damn Libary level from Halo 1 and 2?

You know what made Halo CE good?

• Great AI for its time
• Great Story
• Weapons were very balanced, you had to make choices when you picked something up.
• Different ways to get through the levels (tank=kill everyone, ghost=get to where you want to go fast)
• Good Graphics for its time
• Integrated melee and grenades into the battle more.
• Fun multiplayer with fun maps

it wasnt extrememly revolutionary but it did what it did perfect.

PS i dont get why people care if it has generic weapons, look at CoD2 it had weapons that were used in many games yet it was still a good game.

I wouldnt call halo easy on anything above normal. Heroic is decently hard and legendary is very hard. The elites are jsut as strong as you and all the weapons can kill you as easy as in multiplayer (meaning its like 1 vs. 20 at a time in a way)

And the flood ant too colorful. Some of the meanest looking creatures in games.

Halo is very diversified, nice environments, "cold and mean environments", etc. But the art style tries to be cvery clean (how i like it)
