Killzone 2 is all BULLSHOTS!

For those of you that thought the images of KZ2 where to good to be true, you where right. The devs for the game have openly admitted to doctoring the screens. I personally think this is outragous considering screens are supposed to show you what games are going to look like. More false advertising for the KZ series, but why am I not suprised. Thoughts?

Slap me across the face! These types of threads kill me a little bit everytime I see them.

It's not just Guerilla that polishes up their images. Many companies do that because they know their games look better in motion than in pictures.

I reserve my judgement on the game once it comes out but for now, it looks great.

I'll go ahead and help you out, TC. You've only got part of the sotry.

First, just about every screenshot you see has been adjusted in some way.

Second, The shots that they are speaking of (not all) were taken from display, so they had to be touched up.

Also, the "original" version of the image is a frame snagged directly from video, so it's subject to a certain amount of blurring that's not necessarily an accurate depiction of gameplay frozen in that instant.Joystiq

Third, this says ZERO about the game itself. To even hint at that is nothing but ignoring the facts.

If they're not making a secret of doing it, then why are you plastering them for it? I don't recall seeing any other devs have a problem touching up their promotional material.

Furthermore: If you would please to note their play-throughs of the pre-alpha, you'll find that the touch-ups are dated. The only difference is color.

wow if that is true most everyone should be mad at the upped video of Halo 3 and almost every other game in existence. EVERYONE DOES THIS. Why all the trash talk now?hiryu3

Halo fans should be the last ones trash talking about CGI. I guess you don't remember Halo3 at E3 '06. Look at that supposed "in-game" footage and compare to the real Halo3. Not even close, Halo3 ended up not even being HD. lol

He said that the color was touched up along with some minor touches. The game still looks amazing, but not as vibrant as those news pictures :(.

I hope by time of release that KZ2's color pallete looks as good as those new pics. Everything else is fine so far.

I feel bad for Guerilla right now, I mean Sony has KZ2 hyped up and beyond the stratosphere. It's unreal to think that KZ2 will live up to the hype right now, with every detail being scrutinized and with Sony on their back, they must be under immense pressure.

Needless to say a ton of devs spruce up their photos, especially this early in development so it better reflects what the actual retail product will look like.

At the last E3 some journalists got to play KillZone2. I don't understand how it could've been CGI when they actually got to play it. Also it's not unrealistic to see the game gettting better as it gets farther into development. Remember the game is still in development and screenshots at this stage are targets the developer is shooting for.

I hope so. Right now the gamma in the game is bright as all games are during the development process. I'm sure it will be darker and a bit bit more colorful when it releases.

While we're at it, let's go back in time to 2005.... Have you seen the new trailer? Have you heard all these reputable game journalists saying that the game does look THAT good in person, while seeing the game being played? Some have even played it. They've also said it's a massive step up from Killzone, so that's obviously a huge plus.

Exactly look at Halo 3 it got noticeably better. Nothing spectacular, but it was very noticeable. People should accept that this game looks great in pre-alpha and will most liekly look better by release.
