Killzone 2 is GOTY so far

No it isn't.

bugraphics aside it was so... average

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars scored higher, and PGA Tour 10 Wii, The Sims 3, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, Infamous, MLB 09: The Show PS3, Big Bang Mini, and Street Fighter IV all scored the same. Since GOTY is decided by the reviewers, it seems important to consider what the reviewers think, and the reviewers obviously don't think that Killzone 2 is the undisputed best game of the year so far.

Nah. KZ2 was overhyped and overrated, really. Good game, but it's mostly been forgotten.

Graphics aside, it was average at best when is came down to gameplay. I think Uncharted 2 has a better chance of being GoTY.

Strange. Earlier you said game of the year was gauranteed to be Uncharted 2. Have a recent change of heart?

Killzone 2 is awesome. Look at these dorks claiming it's "average". The campaign is the most challenging FPS campaign on any console, and the only multiplayer is one of the best anywhere. Period. MrNathanDrake

KZ2 no way. LBP was better. Im pretty sure u r basing ur opinion off of graphics (which most console fanboys do, KZ2 graphics werent that amazing either. Only Depth of Feild, and HDR effects made me go wow.). Most games being released now a days are junk. I think the best game made so far is Little Big Planet and Mario Galaxy (i know it wasnt this year). Thats saying something considering i dont have a PS3 and have a 360 and wii (and an amazing PC :D)

funny how ppl call Killzone2 average yet praise Modern Warfare as Jesus on a DVD/BluRay.... KZ2 is like MW, but with a better campaign, more intense rivalry, better graphics, and a class system for multiplayer. MrNathanDrake

It may be your personal GoTY but quit trying to shove it down peoples throats as if it's a fact. Killzone 2 will probably win at least 1 reward this year but I highly doubt it'll win GoTY with contenders like Uncharted 2 and Call of Duty MW.

Although this post is a cop-out, I'll answer your question.

I thought that Killzone 2 was a very good and very slick experience, but nevertheless it was derivative and didn't bring enough new things to the table to be game of the year. It's a game that didn't try very hard to be original and doesn't really stand out amongst other majorgames in the genre. Although I'm not a fan of the game Infamous, I'd actually be happier with that game winning GOTY over Killzone 2. Infamous isn't revolutionary or anything, but one gets the sense that it tried to bring something new to the table.

No it isnt.. I had a blast playing mp and is a good game with pretty good graphs (for consoles) but the gameplay is average or above average at best no matter how many fanboys say Period....

Killzone 2 was way overrated, but still a good game. I personally found Infamous better so I guess that would be my current GOTY but few games have come out this year so it's way too early to judge the GOTY.
