[QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="Albanian_Killa"][QUOTE="Malta_1980"][QUOTE="Koalakommander"] A beautiful disaster.
Exploding barrels next to enemies? Oh boy.
Everything about the gameplay videos scream mediocre, which is a shame because it's the prettiest FPS I've ever seen on a console.
But that's just me, maybe it will redeem itself at E3 2008, I sure hope so. Way to much money and work behind this game to let it go the way of a typical shooter. Really hoping the multiplayer saves it.
Malta_1980
so you played the game and found the gameplay mediocre... because to judge gameplay you should ahemm well uumm get the GAME and PLAY first then form opinions / judgment... but probably there are many who have some sort of special ability that from a vid or screenshots, they already know everything about the game... geez i really wish i had such ability, but alas am just a normal human being who can only judge games after actually playing them..
Exactly. Not to mention game sites who previewed Killzone 2 only said good things.
Just to step in here (and this isn't judging Killzone 2 one way or the other) 99% of previews are positive. It's like an institutionalized practice in gaming journalism.
If they weren't, developers would just stop showing unfinished games.
that might be true, but then the same should be said on all upcoming titles which are receiving positive previews... am i right?
I dont really take into consideration previews / reviews because one sight/magazine might praise the game while another might not like it.. in the end reviewers/journalists are human beings with personal tastes that dont reflect everyone's opinion/tastes
I'm not so much talking about the subjectivity of human opinion here, but a pragmatic policy journalists take so they get to see games.
But your right, the same should be said about all upcoming titles receiving positive previews.
