to you they look the same. to me, Killzone2 looks much more immersive: much more atmosphere, much better character animation, much better lighting and a great cover system. Will it revolutionize anything. probably not.
But it will be a great immersive shooter i think.
Reload animations is COD4 were borrowed from KZ as well as the sprint feature. COD4 is a finished game and the graphics are amazing.
KZ2 has more impressive animations than COD4, but the textures as of now aren't as crisp. But guess what??? KZ2 still has a year to improve in that area.

how about this.. once killzone is actually released.. we will see how it looks..
yeah they look the same now BUT killzone still has like 6 months to go before its realeased... its not like they are gonna keep the graphics looking like that. they WILL make improvements.. you will really start to see the game shape up come january.. final touches make games look great
KZ2 looks subpar compared to the superior COD4.BioShockOwnzI tend to agree based on videos. However, only time will tell.
Killzone 2's graphics look like a step of version of Duke Nukem Forever's.

I'm not saying that KZ invented the sprint mechanic. COD4 just borrows alot of style and grittiness from KZ. Overall the animations and lighting in KZ2 are just as good and better than COD4. NO ONE can say anything about gaemplay since we have yet to play it. But I'm 100% sure that KZ2's graphics will be sperior to COD4.

Yea it will, I cant put my finger on it but something about KZ2 blows me away....I just hope it plays as good as COD4.

huh? style and grittiness? have you played older CoDs?...I played two but come on, do you really think KZ2 wont look better tahn cod4?
I was actually just having this conversation with my bro who is playing cod4. KZ2 seems to play like CoD4 from what I can tell from the videos. Both have extremely excellent graphics, and somewhat realistic but over-the-top action. KZ1 featured looking down the sights, and sprinting as does cod. Both KZ2 and CoD4 have lots of stuff happening onscreen. I think that they play alike based on my experience with Kz1 and videos of cod4 and kz2. Both almost feature realistic jumping and vaulting over objects. I haven't played cod4 yet but from what I can tell gameplay-wise the only real difference is setting, cover system, and destructable environments in kz2 (i don't know to what extent cod4 has this). This is a very good comparison. Hopefully ppl will compare these two games together as they seem similar gameplay wise and stop comparing KZ2 to Halo. It's apples and oranges. Here are good comparisons for Shooters: Halo3 and R:Fom, KZ2 and CoD4, HL2 and Bioshock (maybe).
Speaking of R:fom and Halo why doesn't anyone talk about how halo3 stole the spike grenade (hedgehog) and shield (it was an unlockable grenade in R:fom), while r:fom stole the needler (i.e. the bullseye) but made it useful.

huh? style and grittiness? have you played older CoDs?...I'm a huge COD fan. COD4 plays different than other COD games. Of course COD has always been gritty, but it's hard to say it doesn't adopt it's new sleekness and stylish mechanics from KZ.
In the end it's really impossible to say that KZ2 won't be the best looking console FPS.

No doubt KZ2 already looks better in my opionion and the game will look even better at release.
