Did anyone see the new Gametrailers.com trailer of Killzone 2? Pure Gameplay from one of the developers at E3 testing out the game during the concluding presentation last Friday. Just go to Gametrailers.com you can't miss it, it's on the front page in the second center tab. Just click the right arrow and then click on Killzone 2 E3 Conclusion Gameplay Trailer. Those graphics are just so awesome, but mostly the physics. SO REALISTIC OMG!iMacBot
yep and the reason it looks so easy was because god mode was turned on which made him invinable and it5 was on easy.
it looks really good, yet so many are intent on bashing it anyway.
the fact that haters are bringing up Crysis as a comparison is actually a compliment to KZ2, don't you think?

I noticed too. But most analysts, experts and even developers are scratching their heads trying to understand how Sony Computer Entertainment Europe was capable of making such good graphics and physics for a console game. Looks like PS3 is not only the rival of XBOX 360 and Wii, but also PCs lol!
Looks good but, Colors look a little fated.KillaHalo2o9It's an art direction, it's called gritty, the first killzone looked the same way.

The only technical details I heard was that Guerilla was using one of the Cell's SPUs to do 4x anti-aliasing on the graphics, which smooths out all the jaggies. That's why the outlines on every gun, character, and nearly every surface are smooth andcrisp. The textures may not be the best, but the game is obviouslyvery adept at high-polygon models.

good point. Not to mention that Killzone's art style is totally different from Crysis.
Killzone's art style is much closer to Gears. And even Gears pales in comparison to Crysis

that might be why it flopped:P
cool trailer tho

Awww I understand that your scared that KZ2 in pre-alpha already looks twice as good as a near complet Halo 3, it's ok to make excuses, I understand.[QUOTE="Mordred19"]it looks really good, yet so many are intent on bashing it anyway.

citing the art style of games in graphical comparisons is quite pointless IMO
anyone can see the graphics of a game at their fundamental level: polygons and textures
the polygons and textures matter in the systems graphical output, not colors or image filters
citing colors to determine graphical prowess was an issue in the 8-bit era, not today (at least it shouldn't be)
if I compared the technical strengths of Gears to Killzone 2, I would say Gears has better textures, and KZ2 has many more polygons rendered. Maybe they are even.

and no it doesn't look better than Halo 3!they are diff styles. kz ismore realistic and Halo 3 futuristic.
future>>>>>>>>>>>>>>present

What the? Halo and Killzone are both futuristic, the only difference is Halo is more scifi/cartoony futuristic, and KZ is more gritty/realistic futuristic.[QUOTE="catlin_czirr"][QUOTE="adriancostin83"]It's an art direction, it's called gritty, the first killzone looked the same way.[QUOTE="catlin_czirr"][QUOTE="KillaHalo2o9"]Looks good but, Colors look a little fated.adriancostin83

AgreedBut KZ2 does look good
The thing im worried about with killzone is it's in real early stages yes, but games do get downgraded.... they may find there shooting to high and cant do it because the framerate drops to much and end up downgrading the game somewhat so it runs better, I was almost to amazed with killzone 2 I wonder what other developers think specially since AA has been as issue with the ps3 and now GG are doing some AA only dx10 cards can do....

Realistic...the opening sequence had a flying car. The bad guys have a weather controlling machine that controls electricity. Face it, Killzone 2 is graphically prettier then Halo 3. Halo 3 is more Sci fi and colorful but overall the detail in Halo 3 is not as well done as Killzone 2.

.....says the two guys with Halo avitars. Just say you love Halo games and be done with it. Dont try to explain away the major graphical differences between Killzone and Halo with lame excuses like art style and setting. Besides, do you have a flying car since Killzone takes place in the so called present.

opinoins opinoins and well opinoinsWell i guess you could call killzone sci fi, but Halo is in a whole different sci fi

bigLLL
it is possible that the game may have to be downgraded. I hope not, I still think there is some room left in the CPU and GPU.

dont get me started,KZ2 art style hides things, such as bad textures where is in Halo its bright and colourful, dont forget halo is on a much bogger scale. And we dont know yet, but probably more people on screen
Oh and yes, killzone is SCI FI i agree

I am looking at the textures.Look at my sig.textures look fine and at pre alpha form too.
KZ2>>halo 3 in terms of graphics.Well i won't get into no arguement because i have gotten in like a million about this same topic.I will just advice u to go to GS,IGN,joystick etc.... i am not in the mood to argue jst go to those sites and look what they say.jujuthekingEh opinoins about looking better than halo 3
but theres no doubtthat itlooks good, personally i think the game should be hyped for its animations, not the graphics:D

I know that SCEE confirmed that they plan to keep on increasing the graphics and sound until the release by adding filters and smoother polygons.
