ok now cow is saying that killzone 2 is pre pre alpha stage?
okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.......... WTF is this! Are they making that up or what
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Syaing its Pre alpha is an outright lie as the Alpha build of a game is the first that is *Barley* playable.
Sony hype machine at it again.
[QUOTE="NorthlandMan"]it's very early (pre alpha) but it still makes Halo 3 look like a PS2 gameHeil68Sad that it wont sell as well though huh?
Sad that what he said is true? And yes there is a such thing as pre-alpha. Evryone tries to act like they know what they are talking about here (I don't know a whole lot, but I know for a fact that there is a such thing as pre=alpha, don't know about pre-pre alpha).

The "Pre-Pre- Alpha" statment is another reason why I have been saying it doesnt matter what stage they say it in since it doesnt truely give you a realistic idea of how far they are in development. The Generic would go Pre-alpha, Alpha, beta, Gold. If by the regular standards you basicly would only be seeing concept art and basicly hearing them talk about ideas that they have in their head. Obviously though they are farther in the generic development cycle even though they consider themselves pre-pre-alpha on their own schedule. So although you can say that it isnt finished you cant say "its going to get 10 times better" or whatever just cause its in pre alpha. Though like I said with the Halo 3 alpha/beta stuff, things will get better but by how much no one knows we just have to wait and find out.
its BS Dev talk PR nonsense
Basically its in Early Production and if they really mean that then it goes like this
Pre Production - Alpha - Beta - Gold - Launch
theres no such thing as Pre Alpha, not even for Halo 3

This guy is correct.... if its pre alpha, then the team has not begun production on the game. If that is so, then they would have nothing to show.

It is ok to have an opinion in all, but at least have an intelligent opinion. That is like me saying KZ2 looks like a XBOX game when obviously it doesn't.

Its called a comparison. You'd have to compare KZ2 with something which MAKES it look so bad that you could mistake it for an Xbox game. Of course there is no such game. lol

Crysis just came out of Pre-alpha a couple of months ago, and they had shown tons of footage of the game before they went out of pre-alpha. So obviously you don't know what your talking about.
It's actually called a demo but it's not a consumer demo, and that's probably why they're calling it pre-pre-alpha to avoid fan confusion. These demos are given to potential publishers who want to financially back a title. If it's actually in the demo stage then that's not good news since demos are normally done in pre-production, or early production meaning this title has another 3 years left in a typical development cycle (assuming they keep their current pace).
It's probably all complete BS and just stuff they're throwing around for good PR.
