Killzone 2 was a mistake.

The only reason the game exists is to capitalize on the popularity of online shooters this gen. Sony had no choice but to throw money at an untalented developer such as Guerilla Games. The game does nothing new for the genre, and it shows in how soulless the game is. It is unfathomable how cows could be so loyal to Sony that they would hype a sequel to a 6.9 game. No other fanboy would do that. You will not see any lemming hyping Too Human 2.

Best shooter I played this generation by far, so I'm glad they invested in this company and project.

Thinking this way, probably not even one game this gen is good. People need to stop worrying about "Teh Inn0vat1ons!" and just enjoy the game.

And the game being drab and souless are excuses made by the same people who were disatisfied with the controls and find the need to bash something else. The game is extremely atmospheric with many WW2 references and well created villains. Visari was full of life along with Radec. I do admit that the protagonist and plot was bland but thats it.

I own halo 3 and own mw and mw 2 and still enjoy KZ2 more then both the games. Even though halo gameplay is very different ala arcady.

That's one site. Killzone 2 got AAA reviews on a lot of sites and holds a 90+ on Metacritic. I've played the game a lot more than you have and it definitely couldn't be made my talentless devs

I totally agree with this 360%. No one plays Killzone 2 anymore like how people continues to play Halo and Call of Duty games in huge unique player numbers. It did not even live up to how it looked in their first CGI trailer one bit. Another mistake Sony have fallen into are focusing too much on graphics with this game and their other games. Killzone 2 is not anything special at all and in my reality of things and educated opinion the whole game, the whole franchise is forgettable. I really hope Sony doesn't make another Killzone game after this one. Sony continues to litter their library with exclusive shooters and I truly believe they all failed to reach the amount of success compared to games like Halo and Call of Duty. They need to stop trying to make shooter games in all seriousness.reanimatedchamp
