Killzone 2, why so hyped?

Ok, weve all seen the trailer, yeah it has good graphics, bla bla bla. Now, will someone please enlighten me as to why this game is going to be so great, without talking about graphics AT ALL? I understand the game looks amazing when considering graphics only, but what I dont understand is why all the Cows were constantly complaining about Gears having no color, look at the Killzone trailer, lets see here: Grey, some black here, some more grey, grey...oh yeah and grey! And also, in my opinion, the gameplay graphics dont come close to matching the trailer shown at E305.

Its funny that Lemmings when PS3 launch where all about the Graphics. All those Third party games look better on 360 etc.

Now PS3 is showing some real graphics in KZ2, GT5 Prolouge, HS, LAIR, lemmings now pulling reggie on us, GAMEPLAY over Graphics theme.

Halo 2 sucked ass. After its previous story credibility was pitched out the window, all you had left was a generic shooter with an anti-climax. And now that Halo has ceased to be the most well-made FPS in a wasteland of mediocrity, as it was considered 7 years ago, it lacksboth story and gameplay. In which case, Halo 3 is simply going to pick up where the previous games left off; it's going to be exactly the same.

Gears of war has a maximum of 6 characters on the screen at once. Killzone 2 (according to the gameplay trailer) has at least 20 different actions going on at once, and probably more than that. And if thats not enough, those 20 different actions are all going on in a huge area, and that's not all. The animations destroy Gears of war. The way the bad guys move when they run and when they get shot is fantastic. Also, the lighting in that game is spectacular. First of all, you lemmings were saying Gears of War was the best because "LOOK AT THE GRAPHICS!!!" Now when you see a game with better graphics and animations, all of a sudden graphics aren't important anymore. You attack an unfinished game with "the A.I sucks, the gameplay sucks, everything looks grey." Too me, that looks like your scared that you might actually have to buy a PS3.

But that's just my personal opinion. I have Gears of War, and I think it's a great game, but bashing Killzone 2 doesn't make too much sense to me especially for a game that was so close matching it's CG equivalent.

well the physics and lighting are superb, its only pre-alpha and the game is already looking great. i thought you lemmings cared agreat deal about graphics?? ign had some positive things to say about killzone 2 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/806/806927p2.html

because when the first trailer came out it was the best graphics anyone had ever seen... they said it was in-game which made everyone go crazy and they were skeptical..then 2 years later they backed it up at e3 '07 and it looks amazing..thats why
