The intensity is there, but the overall gameplay isn't! I just got done with the campaign, and after playing the mech mission (which totally wow'ed me!), i got to thinking about how amazing of a vehicle it would have been in a game of CTF. Sure there is Search and Retrieve, but it isn't quite the same :(

Not only the fact that there isnt any vehicles (COD4 has no vehicles and its still a blast), but its the game modes that make the multiplayer suffer. All there is is Body Count (Team Deathmatch)... There are other game modes, but they are basically Body Count but with a twist. I've been playing it for a week now and its already starting to get stale (and i didnt even unlock all of the characters yet!)

In KZ3, we need a CTF mode with mechs d*amnit!! Just imagine that sandy, windy, open level with the bridges, but with you sprinting in a mech to the enemy base! OMG!! :o

I do agree with modes and such, but I've enjoyed KZ2 and had fun it can get pretty intense at times.

I wished they included the mechs in online as well. The mech in the campaign was one of the coolest vehicles ever in a game. But I disagree with why KZ2's online is mediocre. I think its due to doing the same noob crap most all of them do, respawn. You want intensity, go play socom and deal with one life per round. THAT'S intense. It also forces you to think about what you do instead of running wild in a map. It also forces players to plan and use strategy. Instead, like most shooters, you get people aimlessly doing their own thing. Its lame.

After all the patches, it's great. When the game first came out, though, online was pretty much broken.

I wish that each class wasn't limited to about 2 guns. I would have loved to be Sabtaur with a shotgun so I could disguisge myself and 1 shot kill them but I can't. I also wish that I could have a shotgun with the assault class since they can run fast but I can't do that. Assassination is my favorite game mode so I hope in Killzone 3 they expand off of that.

Yeah also like you guys said they should have an option of no respawns in a game. With medic this would be even better. And in Search and destroy and Assassination this would be the best.

Remember kids, vehicles make a multiplayer game better. :? Putting vehicles in your game causes the multiplayer design variables to go haywire in terms of meaningful implementation and execution. Most of the time games are better off without them, then sticking them in there for the hell of it.

Yeah they are only good and giant maps and Killzone 2 doesn't have that.

Vehicles are fun if done right, but KZ2 isn't designed for that. GG would have to create new maps and perhaps a new game mode. Though you know the tank was in MP during the early stages of development. They took it out for balancing puposes. The online isn't perfect but it's one of my favorite this gen, and my most played. - Each class is useful and balanced (especially after patches) - Superbly designed maps - Rotating game types - Intense and fun Though I do wish we could have the option to limit respawns, that would make modes very interesting. Like TF the game is team based only, but a free-for-all Body Count option would be great too. Also, the new map pack this week is adding the flame thrower and bolt gun as power-weapon pick-ups.

Putting mechs in multiplayer would have destroyed the balance, so most people would have turned it off anyway, like assault class. Let me guess OP, you think W@W is better than CoD4 because it has tanks? Although the Exoskeleton was cool, it couldn't touch the feeling of finally driving Metal Gear Rex.

Theres a mode like that in SOCOM for the psp. Once your dead thats it, though your team mates can revive you. Best game mode ever. Makes you stick toghether and work toghether.

Lol, sounds like your suggestions would really break the defaulted balance.

No respawning is a dumb idea. Sure if they want to include a game type where there is non thats ok but people wanting teh whole game to be no respawning is just very meh. I want to play the game. Not die early and sit down for 25 - 40 min as two guys are lrft 1v1 on a a huge map and either one runs away after taking one shot to avoid the death and delay teh match. I want to play the game not watch. I have had that in Gears and its not very fun wwhen its like that. The thing is gears maps are very small and its hard to hide so if a match can last that long on gears then imagine how long you could be waiting just for a 1v1 to finish on killzone when maps are wayy bigger, theres cloaking and all kind of stuff.

No, but i think Halo 3 is better than them all because it has balanced vehicles that go with the gameplay and maps... 4 mechs, 2 for each team on the bigger maos wouldnt hurt anything... And it can be treated just like the helicopter in COD4, the players with RPG's can take em down (even the ones with C4's). But the rest just need to hide

That's the thing though. It maybe too difficlt to take out a mech with the porper weapons, in Halo 3 you have so many ways to take out vehicles as to not upset the balance. You can hijack the vehciles, spartan lasers, rocket launchers, stick plasma grenades, plasma pistols or just plain shoot them out of the driver seat.

The maps as well have to be a little less obstructive for a mech to navigate freely as well.

In halo you really have no advantage or disadvantage against a vehicle, but you have to keep on your toes as there are many variables too.
