Looks like more bloom and higher color saturation. Everything is just more visible. It does look better than before, though.

Looks like more bloom and higher color saturation. Everything is just more visible. It does look better than before, though.

KZ3 looks great... really looking forward to the sp campaign..as for MP am sure it will be great..

(P.S. I can only imagine what GG could do (visually) if KZ3 was a PC exclusive :P)

I'm seeing a few different textures, some additional bg objects, and more smoke/alpha. Am I missing anything?:P

there is also the lense flares and large change on the lighting scheme(see pic series 3 and 4). Altogether it adds up for a pretty noticable change and improvement from the old build.

Lighting? you dont notice that the beta shots have more illumination on objects?

Why the hell they made the damn game purple? E3 Pre-Alpha looked so much better colors wise. It's like the first Stalker game which was so beautiful and natural in alpha/beta state while the released game turned out all hues of purple.

bloom and color saturation are post processing effects commonly associated with lighting. However you made no mention of the actual lighting effect changes where much better illumination is seen.

So I cover bloom, color saturation(I specifically meant grading, or tone mapping), and then I say everything is more visible. That basically covers all the changes made to the lighting scheme, with the exception of the lens flare you mentioned.

Hey I made that comparison a few weeks ago TC :). But yeah it's incredible how much improvements GG made in such a short period of time. The final code should be even more polished one can imagine.

Why the hell they made the damn game purple? E3 Pre-Alpha looked so much better colors wise. It's like the first Stalker game which was so beautiful and natural in alpha/beta state while the released game turned out all hues of purple.

My friend's dad works at a place I can't say, but he said it was because Sony is trying to copy "Halo". Next thing you know, there will be a jungle level in the game with glow worms and pretty flowers that shoot poison pollen all over your face.

GJ assuming everyone who doesn't praise it unconditionally is a lemming...

Some of the pre-alpha shots almost look better because the bloom isn't so overdone. Look at the second one.

sony trying to copy halo? thats the worst thing i have heard, killzone 3 is no where NEAR being halo. but if thats really truw then you should also know halo copied super mario

Nah, it's not about that, it's good that they're nicely implementing the Move and 3D into KZ3 but it just looks crowded. So the parody on it was pretty funny, at least to me.
