So whos happy about the control changes in Killzone 3? Im happy they got rid of the awful controls that majority of the community hated. I havent played the Beta, but as long as its not Killzone 2, then Im happy. Aiming down the sights FTW. Hip fire FTL.

Also, if youre a fan of the old controls, can you honestly tell the community that youve gotten used to aiming down the sights with the delay?

The controls look the same to me, just a bit less lag. They still need to get rid of the dead zone though... I can tell it's there by watching the gameplay videos. I like being able to barely move the analog stick and having my character barely turn. Dead zone kind of screws it up for me.

Killzone gameplay was built on shoulder firing being used for close to medium range and ads for long range which I personally feel gave Killzone a unique feel and made it a harder game to master. It had no auto aim, which I prefer also. By making ads easier to use for short range and medium range, it changes the style of the game into something more like Call of Duty. Many Killzone 2 veterans are not happy with the mainstreaming of the gameplay, the Official Killzone 3 forum is full of unhappy people. Many people who are used to COD will think the controls were bad, which in a way they were, but they created a form of gameplay that was unique. This game seems to have lost that style of gameplay, but I haven't played the BETA so I can only go on other's opinions from the Killzone forums.

this, also I hope the dead zone is as small as possible. Keep the wait just make it resposive. I hate irresposive controls The dead zone and controller lag really killed it for me. Hyped for Kz3, want it.

I actually liked the weighty feel, but I certainly have no problem with the game playing faster. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, regardless.

So now this is proof the Killzone 2 controls were terrible.

From what i can tell the game still has that weighty and realistic feel, just sped up a little..the game actually looks better, K2 was TOO slow and heavy. This is perfect.

It doesnt matter to me, cuz you see, a true game like myself can easily adapt to any type of controls and master them with little effort. I had the KZ2 "terrible" controls down within 3 hours and never had problem with them. Im sure I can handle what ever control changes they throw at me. 8)

Agreed. Adding weight to the controls isn't a bad thing, but they did take it way too far. This is a good change.

Yes and no, I am happy they fixed the bad controls but they've made it a little to floaty, I ended up turning my sensitivity down to 30 and now it feels perfect, now they need to fix the recoil when ADS, especially the LMG that **** is basically a sniper rifle.

I likes the old movement,I fear it'll be too COD like now

Oh well, I'll live with it, the game will still make COD look like Hannah Montanas Sea Side adventure

I'm sad, I really loved kz2 controls and was shocked when I heard people had a problem with it. I haven't tried the beta of the third one so I don't know how it plays, but for me, any change is not welcome at all

Yeah im not a fan either.. Perfect Dark on XBL had the worst case of it in the history of videogames.. I mean it was needed on the n64 because there was only one analog stick.. so keeping it whilst adding a second analog made it feel and play even worse. It was impossible to get the reticule aimed where you wanted it.

I had a problem with KZ2's controls and I think its a good idea that KZ3 has become more of a ADS shooter than a hip fire shooter. The aiming made no sense, hip fire was more effective than ADS 9 out of 10 times and even burst firing ADS was so inaccurate because the gun would literally hop sideways AND recoil up ..... it was like the guy was barely holding the gun.

I haven't experienced the new controls yet. From what I hear, they just removed factors that affected accuracy, but maybe I didn't hear everything.

I have no problem with the controls of the game, but being easier to play will make it more popular, which is good for the online.

I like the change. Even shooters in realistic, modern settings don't feel as "heavy" as with KZ2.

The new-ish controls allow me to shift focus more to the environment and enemy rather than deal with the split second of annoyance with a weapon.
