you have just basically proved his point for him by posting those shots.
the warehouses could exist anywhere on earth today, a bunch of old crates an old building devoid of colour with a statue and a bizarre bunch of rocks and branches, what are you seeing when you look at those pictures. anyone who claims that that game beats halo reach artistically is simply lying to themselves.

oh look.. its an outdoor setting near a cliff in the mountains with some mist/fog in the background..where on earth would i ever find something like that.. surely on another planet cause earth sure as hell doesnt have anything like that.
i cant see how from an artistic point of view those kz3 look horrible in the slightest. I dont see what a common setting has anything to do with its ARTSTYLE.. infact it doesnt have anything to do with an artstyle.
