Killzone 3 Realism/animation FPS king!

While many might complain about Killzone's story and weak characters, we can or should all if not most agree that K2/3 has some of the best if not the best animations in a FPS, this goes for character movement/weight...the realism easily sticks out amongst other FPS, while K2 was abit too slow, K3 has sped up the movement while keeping the weighty feel or human gun/movement, from jumping to running to recoil K3 is no doubt the king in this area, IMO and i'm sure many agree.

Anyway the graphics just looks downright amazing. Looks pretty fun too.

Damn they still cant get it right ok let me lay it down for you this game has awesome Character models but everything else suffers Look at the wall textures as low res as you can get still sticking with the Browns and grey colors . but still this game is shaping up good .

As far as I'm concerned, KZ3 is becoming the king of useless threads about areas where it won't get destroyed by Crysis. Its a overall technically proficient title, why must this game be so overhyped?

animation king yeah. But killzone has an incredible artstyle to it so it can't be the realism king :D but it will be the new console graphics king, and the game itself will be Badass :P

I think the character animations are one of the worst parts of the game. I think the actual physics and lighting behind the weapons is what we should be talking about. I remember watching a video of KZ3 MP gameplay and a turret was firing rockets and they looked so realistic the way they zig zagged their way to the target. Also I saw a grenade going off in a confined space and the lighting and particle effects were insane. Sparks hit the roof and the volumetric smoke shrouded everything and dissipated so realistically. I could talk all day about the little things like this in the game that set it head and shoulders above any other CONSOLE fps.

Realism king? Really?

As much as I despise all these lame king titles, if there was a realism king it certainly wouldn't be Killzone anything.

We get it, everything that is a PS3 exclusive is a king of some sort.

Ok well as far as animations go the cutscene was good but the animations in game were just as flat as anything else in multiplayer. And Realism king? First of all there shouldn't be a king for everything, and second you should really look up what the word "realism" means, because Killzone 3 is anything but realistic.

No it doesnt. If you actually look at animations while walking or climbing up hills it looks exactly like a human skeleton. KZ just over animates so much that people think its amazing. Crysis animates the human skeletal frame very well. Once again incredibly gaudy guns provide an illusion. Crysis guns are meticulously crafted and deatiled. The textures on them aren't even comparable.

crysis has guns that look like a black slab of shiny tar. If I could post pics I would, but I know in those 2 area's killzone wins. Also personally the art style looks much better. You don't have to be so defensive, Crysis won't be knocked off teh throne because of 2 area's.

Resistance who? In comparison it really doesn't exist. The main thing that is the real meat of system wars IMO is PS3 Vs 360, GeoW vs Uncharted, Halo vs Killzone(Of course also random screen shots of crysis and generally fun threads). As much as Killzone doesn't really get the level of success that Halo does, resistance is even further from it. Resistance really isn't a contender.

The only animations in KZ2 which were created by hand were the reload animations. Those were done in Maya.

Everything else though, was motion capture.
