Killzone 3 vs Gears of War 3 graphics

Gears 3 is going to finally show what 360 is capable of. But can it stand against KZ3? Judging from the pre-release footage and screenshots GeoW 3 seems to have more detailed characters but KZ3 has more impressive lighting and environmental effects. So what do you think?

Well, as I said, the characters certainly look more detailed in Gears 3. Being a TPS this is just natural.

Both games are graphically phenomenal but Gears of course looks more detailed....it's a 3rd person shooter.

I think Gears will look better, and I'm sure it will be the better game.

I don't think this is the best comparison considering the Gears 3 shots aren't gameplay; they're promotional shots. I think both games look superb, but from what I've seen Killzone 3 has the edge.

Well think about it, Gears 3 has been in production for at at least 2 years now.

I mean epic is a very talented developer. Long story short, I feel like if these big budget heavy hitters are in development longer than what their competing with. It should look better by nature.

both look good, but based on what we've seen so far I'd give Gears 3 the edge.

direct screenshots don't do any game justice, so i wouldn't rely on them. it basically shows which game looks better at its worst state

seeing as though ur comparing a game's multiplayer footage to the graphics of a full release pretty much assures Gears will stomp a mudhole into KZ3z ***. Gears graphics will look even better in single player. this thread kind of defeats its purpose....

Why are we still comparing gears 3 with killzone 3? Crysis 2 is the one to beat now.... Only on gamespot forums....

TC failed to provide comparable shots. Beta code vs bullshots hardly seems like a fair use of debateable screens.

generally i wait till final games are released and then compare their visuals... the pics posted are all Bullshots so cant be compared, considering the final product wont look that good..

KZ3 looks really good but i have no doubt Geow3 will look amazing too.. we'll just have to wait a little longer before comparing :)
