Killzone will be shown Next month!!! Its official!!!

It is officially official!! Killzone will Be shown next March 5th-9th in some form of a playable demo!! I have a feeling sony will have the last laugh this march at GDC when Killzone is shown. If this game blows people away when they show it, systems will definitly be flying off shelves, just imagine if they also announce a playable demo coming! PS3s will be sold out everywhere!! Lemmings don't care since they can play Mass Effect, BioShock, and Halo 3 all on one great console.

I'm a Sony fan who is highly sceptical of the PS3.  Sony had better know what they are doing with this news.  People are going to tune in in record numbers to see if Killzone meets the expectations set by the E3 video two years ago.  If it doesn't, I think Sony can kiss the PS3 goodbye. 

But, if Killzone is graphically comparable to the E3 video, then I think it can breathe new life into the PS3.  It may still not be enough for most people to rush out and drop $600...but it will end the debate over whether or not Sony lies or whether or not the PS3 and cell delivers the goods.

If Killzone isn't up to people's expectations then this could be a suicidal move by Sony.

Yes, we all know that Halo 2 received a 9.4 here on GS.  The logic around here (or lack thereof) sometimes astounds me.

Well, the thing is, they did lie by saying the footage we saw back at E3 2005 was realtime.  Now it's a matter of "can we cover up our lie by spending enough time on the game to actually make it look comparable to what we showed?"

I will be one of the millions who show up to check out the demo, and I hope to God (or any deity of your choice) that Sony can deliver on this HUGE promise.  It will certainly speak positively / negatively to Sony's choice of hardware architecture.  Then again, given the amount of time needed to create the "Killzone 2"s of the world, I don't know that gamers have the patience to wait around for other such games.  Regardless, it will be very interesting to watch...can't wait.

It's true from what I can see, but I've temporarily given up on Sony. This aside, it does stand to reason that there is a higher AAA FPS percentage on the ps3 atm.

So what you're saying, as a stereotype, 360 is for shooters, and PS3 is for...jrpg's right? Who cares. All that really matters is if this demo is A) Realtime...and B) Will it look like anything from the CGI trailer. I've given up on companies that say "Big announcement!". Epic has done this. Konami has done this. I leave my faith down to 0% till I see it for myself instead of jumping into some fake hype.
