http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvWrIzQC6uU Go throw a grenade in crysis 2 in the water you will see the grenade doesnt cause a real 3d wave like that, crysis 2 just has a flat painted on wave. look at the water coming up onto shore too.callofdutyzone3
Now go swim in that water, show me the caustic effects... oh wait, you can't. Resistance 2 had better water then that video.
Crysis 2 = fully interactive and rendered in real-time.
Killzone 3 = some pre-rendered sprite/animation you have no interactivity in. WoW has water effects similar to that. Nothing impressive.
killzone3=all realtime. the only game with water effects like that in unreal tournament 2003 not w.o.w..Crysis 2 = fully interactive and rendered in real-time.

No can't swim in it, but I can walk through it and it does cause waves. That water is very interactive actually. Heck if it wasn't the grenade wouldn't have done what it done in that video.Crysis 2 PC water actually does have water propagation as well, the consoles do not. However when it comes to the oceans, Crysis 2 laughs at kz3's ugly water.ferret-gamerLol, kz3's ocean is "another planet". That could be great looking water for all we know. Its called a design decision, not bad graphics.

[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]My city has yummy tap water and is fantastic with ice cubes. It's awesome during a hot day and especially after doing yard work or taking a walk. I'm drinking some at this very moment. I wish I could give you some through the internet but that technology hasn't been created yet. I will however switch over to Bud Lite here in the next 30 minutes since my upcoming school week is lite on work and I'm ahead in my studies. That's about all I have to say about water. KC_HokieMy town's tap water is more hardcore. It is so hardcore infact that the water provider has to send out monthly letters informing people that it is unsafe to drink without filtration :PThat's sucks. I've never been to a third world country like yours before. I'll be sure to send my five cents a day to help out. I live in North West US. Our water is just overloaded with minerals to the point where it can be dangerous.
