Only one of those are out, KZ2, and I think it has a good shot. Still a long time though...

Scribblenauts is one that you forgot seeing as how it won many E3 game of the show awards. Also, a lot of the members of the press are digging Brutal Legend so I feel that that game has a fair chance.

Good list, but there is NO WAY Halo: ODST is up for contender of GOTY. It was a originally a add on, and they made it into a full game. Don't see that getting game of the year at all!

take out MAG and ODST add Bioshock 2

Infamous would probably be nominated.

I think uncharted 2 has a big shot at it. Mainly cause the real problem reviwers had with uncharted was the length and lack of replay vaule,but it seemes part 2 will fix those issues.

Critics would not allow so many FPS games to be GOTY.. I think the contenders are:

Modern Warfare 2

Uncharted 2

inFAMOUS

Starcraft 2 (nominated but def. won't win)

Bioshock 2

Maybe a toss up between Max Payne 3, Mafia II, Killzone 2 may get a nod...

im not sure about MAG but yyeah i think it'll come down to Uncharted 2 vs. MW2

Well they had Crysis Warhead in their GOTY contenders last year.

I'm probably in the minority here but, if Dissida: Final Fantasy lives up to the hype, I think it should get some consideration. That game does look sweet!

Going by the games that are out now GTA: Chinatown Wars will win here ... I don't think there has been another game given 9.5 this year ...

Yeah Bungie has clarified that it's going to be a full game now.

im trying to figure out how these games are already being said if they aren even out yet...you cant be damn sure a game is gonna be epic...look at what happened with RE5...i doubt KZ2 will be nominated though i dont see InFAMOUS getting it either....but id like to see what they do with best PS3 game and best Multiplatform game...

GoW3 will get GotY 2009. I know its not coming out in 2009, but its awesomeness will be so legendary that they'll have to give it 2009 and 2010 just to express how freaking awesome it is :PII_Seraphim_II

Starcraft 2 takes it if it comes out :). The list is good except for MAG, that games look meh..

I highly doubt it, but it would be great to see Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time added to that list. Insomniac knows how to pump out great games, and they do it on a consistent basis with 4 high quality and outstandingPS3 games released in 4 years, when it takes some PS3 developers almosthalf a decade to release a high qualitygame (HELLO KILLZONE 2)and this game is shaping up to be a great conclusion to the Ratchet and Clank Future Trilogy. I know it has a low chance of winning, but it should be nominated, it has the potential.

Other games that I believe will be nominated are Splinter Cell: Conviction, Brutal Legend, Scribblenaughts, Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, MAYBE InFamous and MAYBE Halo: ODST if it turns out to be longer then just an expansion and adds something to the Halo universe that we havent seen yet

I agree Insomniac is a bit underrated. Their games are all great.
I think Street Fighter IV is a great 2009 release too, but sadly probably won't be nominated because GOTY contenders are a saturation of shooters and action games. God bless 2007's super mario galaxy.

And Scribblenauts should and hopefully will win. It's the only nonfighting game I am really looking forward to across all platforms. i have not played it yet but it's the only game I've seen in a while that made me think best game of all time potential. Winning best of show here won't hurt its chances either.
