I got a kinect two days ago. Although I only paid £50 and will be using it for Source Filmmaker :)

So wait, a $40 price cut (the first official one) almost 2 years after a product was released is a fail? I do love System Wars.

I'm personally surprised they were able to sell them at $150 for so long. The damn things are worth about $75 if you ask me.

And no value was gained.

Exactly. I know Microsoft feel sorry for Sony, but thats no reason to kill their own products just to give Sony a chance.

Kinect can be fun if you have friends to play with i.e. Dance Central, Kinect Sports, maybe Child of Eden etc. Also if you have a child around there's a good chance kinect will keep them entertained.

By yourself however, imo kinect isn't really that fun unless it's being used as a supplement to the controller for example head tracking in Forza 4 and voice command for Mass Effect 3.
