Didn't know how good it was until I tried it I'm impressed
Its coming out this year too, you sure that first one isn't someone taking a picture outside of his house?
Out of all this time this is the only professional good screenshot from HZD I seen here
I actually have some better screen laying around and much better than what I seen anyone post for this game here.
The game looks beautiful and as a history buff, I love it being set in a historically accurate and realistic medieval world. I hope the gameplay ends up being great as well because if it does then I think that I will end up really loving this game.
HZD doesn't look photorealistic at all, this is the case for most games released in the last years, even Crysis 3.
I'd rather see this style take off rather than the cartoony looking UC4 or HZD that we've been getting all these years.

I remember there was somebody posting about how photorealistic the game looked than when did you know ppl like @scatteh316 and the alt of @m3dude1 kept claiming they were all bullshot. It's releasing this year anyways.
@EducatingU_PCMR:
That because it uses Photogrammetry to create the texture probably at the same level as bf or bf one
it definetely lookin good. first person, immersive, combat looks good. will be much better RPG than likes of mass effect and witcher 3.

Same here. Looks like a very interesting game, but I'll need to see some gameplay.

Its somewhere along the lines of chivalry for the combat but more realistic. Not the crap we got in Skyrim.

Is there magic ? Or only weapons grounded in history ?
I love Chivalry combat by the way :D If they can nail that flow it would be great !

No magic but you have various stances, parry, and attack you can use. The developer said they worked on the combat to make it very similar to in real life.
Realistic is better than cartoony in a technical standpoint because they require less texturing and poly. I'm surprised their isn't more delusions post here.
@blueeyedcasva: I'm playing Mirage: Arcane Warfare at the moment and it's very similair to Chivalry (it's basically the sequel) but now there is some light magic in there.
Gotta say the combination of real spears/swords/maces/etc with magic is a real fun one.
When I think of medieval RPGs there is almost always magic in there: The Witcher, Oblivion, ... So it's good the developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance are taking a different approach.
I'm a real fan of historical grounded games too ^^
@silversix_: I believe what he meant is super sampled (higher res) which horizon does when taking a photo shot to make it more crisp with less jaggies

Jaggies? There are no jaggies in Horizon. Its one of the cleanest console games around. There are no difference between photo mode and gameplay. Its exactly the same. Gameplay has motion blur while photo mode doesn't. That is all.
@silversix_: the ps4 pro has it where it can supersample a image and resize it to 1080p assuming your on the pro. This is already been discuss in articles.
Still kingdom beats it with straight up photorealistic texture.

I do not have a pro... Those were taken on my OG ps4. Yeah, it looks so good that to those who haven't played it, you're having a hard time believing what you're seeing.

Obviously those aren't super sample the foliage looks way lower res than my kingdom come screen

Am I suppose to be all that impressed btw these are actual pictures lol

That looks like a legit photo. Where can I get the game?
@deathlordcrime: Those pics weren't meant to be impressive but to show that there are no difference between photo mode (as the jelly ones would call it bullshot mode) and gameplay.

My eyes deceive me if this is in game or real life? Hands down this may actually look better than BF ONE. This must be the closes I seen something look photorealistic for a actual game.
Too bad Horizon looks way better in motion than Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Kingdom Come looks better than both in full motion and look just like its screen which has a near photo realistic Forrest. W3 and HZD have similar renders but aren't pushing textures at the level of Kingdom come where the developer wanted to make it close to real life as possible.
Last time I checked on this game the world was looking pretty small. Is it? I love the idea of a realistic, central european RPG with no fantasy. It's incredibly intriguing to me. But an open world for me isn't worth that much unless I can explore a bit.
Looks like it's slated to hit PS4 late this year. Is it like a Witcher 3 clone minus monsters or what do you do in it?
Nope its nothing like Witcher 3 but more in line with chivalry
Where are these pics coming from? The official show-offs from the devs look like TW3, more-or-less
https://www.kingdomcomerpg.com/en/media
Looks great, but this whole "so photorealistic, can't tell the difference from game and reality; lol Horizon visuals suck in comparison" is bullshit.

Straight out of the game, and many of those picture are very old like 2013 and most don't even look like they were taken in the actual game but an early prototype probably using Cry engine 3 asset to a extent
@blueeyedcasva: those were pics from Sept 29th, 2016 on the website, uploaded as part of Deep Silver's official announcement that they would publish the game. I don't think they are ancient
IMO, the big strong point is the lighting and texture quality - the lighting, in particular, is exceptionally natural feeling in a lot of the pics you can find. Really helps sell the images

Kingdom Come in full motion is inferior to Horizon. The character models and animatiion look like shit. Horizon also has destruction and huge dinosours with less popp in. Everything in Horzon is detailed including the enviorments.

A few of them are definitely before 2016
Here some screen outside the Forrest

Animation still needs some work but their working on a much more complex combat system. I honestly don't care much about character models when this game is mostly in FPS.
@xantufrog: I see some noticeable higher quality texture in those screens than the Witcher 3 has like the foliage. Every game is going have a few inconsistency here and there depending on the screen quality or how much effort the developer put in specific areas.
IMO, the pics you just shared make my point - the geometry isn't anything special - but look at the lighting and nice use of bump mapping. That's what sells the image. Really natural lighting
