Looks so amazing. not surprise that its going to have a great story because they are Mafia 1 developers.

first person combat with a great world, universe, lore with deep storyline. game is going to be full of win.

It has a lot of potential. I am waiting for reviews and feedback though.

its finally RPG which is not based on generic and boring medieval fantasy. instead taking realistic approach.

I know what it is, but I love fantasy elements. It is more of a medieval sim/RPG. Which is fine, but I will wait and see how it comes together and how good it is.

Nice to see the game is getting a release. I remember watching the early trailers and getting excited for it. I have a bunch of games that I'm working on at the moment so it won't be a day 1 purchase for me, but I'll definitely give it a look at some point.

Yeah, realism is totally not boring. That's why everybody loves games where your character has to do his tax returns and goes to the toilet.

To be fair you could play as two twigs pierced into a dried dog turd and it would probably play better than the Witcher 3.

Just saying realism is automatically bad is a gross generalization. Something like a flight sim and a car sim provides a realistic and generally more rewarding experience than arcade racers or arcade pew pews as they require more input from the player, at the expense of a much higher learning curve.

If Skyrim's armor had more penalties like helmets limiting vision at the expense of protection, probably be more invested what your characters wears. Instead, almost nothing means anything, all bubblegum.

Maybe this sounds insane but I would have liked this to go even further because I saw someone pull out a dagger in town and she didn't get into trouble for that. I saw her pull out a torch and it was magically lit.

I'm hoping that they will make a game revolving around the siege of a single city one time, in the ancient world. Those sieges were much larger than in the medieval times and had quite interesting tactics imo. Building the agger with an advancing wall to protect the builders, burning the agger down or digging it out from underneath, making the wall bigger so the agger won't reach it, digging tunnels, using bowls of water to detect tunnels and pikes in holes in the ground to kill people in tunnels, hooks in the grass, etc.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it will be better though.

I'm backer of the game and I've early access to it, but haven't touched it all. Waiting for full release.

This game is gonna be GOTY material, I just know it.

I know PC fans aren't getting behind this cinematic abomination after trashing everything cinematic before now? Not to mention that the actual gameplay looks pitiful.

As good as this game looks, saying itll blow unrelated games out of the water is odd. Sure, as far as realistic simulation goes, Witcher 3 cant compare. But this cant compare when it comes to medieval fantasy rpgs where you fight monsters and ghosts.

Lets just start comparing COD and Need for Speed why dont we.

Id be happier with a third person option.

medieval fantasy generally allows for more variety in gameplay... This could be fun but it could also be a clunky time consuming mess.

Seems like a story-centric Mount and Blade game, in a sense. Which is fine, don't get me wrong.

I just think it's funny to say "it's not based on boring medieval fantasy" it's just "based on medieval historical fiction". I mean you find the boring part of the game the fantasy part? Or the fact we get so many fantasy games out?

Either way, looking forward to it. I hope I can play as a bandit, and I'm not forced to be some knight.

The setting, attention to detail, player choice and story all look great but I can't help thinking the game play looks clunky.

I don't mind slow, deliberate combat that focuses on realism as long as the control scheme works for it. If it controls well then it's certainly going to better than...

The characters look hilariously bad. Graphic king is something that will never be aimed at this horseshit. Good luck with that whole 'totally realistic stuff only' vibe, it looks like what would happen if you took an axe to some really good games and chopped all the interesting and exciting bits out.

It's all the more funny because any time you see anyone claim to be excited about this thing they never ever explain why. 'It's real', they say. Well, it really isn't, but hey knock yourselves out, whatever makes you happy. I predict 6/10 scores at best for this thing it looks awful but reviewers are just as stupid as the clowns bigging it up on here so they will pretend to 'dig' the realism while crucifying literally everything else.

Maybe just maybe, people are willing to accept that smaller studios can't put out the same polish as Sony with their 7th God of War game that is a mindless QTE hack n slash fest full of instant gratification?
