So color me surprised.

There had been so little coverage of this game, it felt like, that I kind of blew it off as another Kirby game. Which it is, at least in terms of difficulty according to the GS review. Sounds like a sleeper hit of sorts, especially considering Nintendo has hit sort of a rut with their games for both the Wii U and the 3DS to a lesser extent (in terms of releases and somewhat in reception).

Even on MetaCritic it has scored decently so far.

So that's pretty cool that a Kirby game actually seems to have a fresh concept and fun gameplay to it (not to say games like Triple Deluxe or previous ones were bad, but there are complaints of how stale and simple Kirby can get/is). I might check it out.

Are you guys thinking of buying this at all or is it too Kirby for you? :P

I always find it funny when people s*** on Kirby for being "too easy." I wonder how many of the people that say that have tried to gold star every level in Kirby Mass attack (f*** that game BTW), Or have they attempted to complete every challenge in Kirby Rainbow Curse? Then of course recent Kirby games have been adding a true arena as well. Not to mention past Kirby games had boss rushes. Kirby games can actually have a fair amount of bite, or even alot of bite to them in a few cases, for those that seek it. I'm guessing that this new game will have some optional stuff that will have some degree of challenge as well.

That aside I am actually pretty excited for this new game.

That's the problem the so call bite are now optional...if they had made the game in such that cannot progress further until you complete all the bite then it'd probably be better. :P

Sure, I realize that. I guess I just don't see it too differently from, say, a Mario game. If all you do is go through levels, just wanting to beat the game and be over with it, not caring about collection or completion, then Mario games aren't entirely difficult either, maybe not as easy as just plowing through the main stuff in a Kirby game, but not something terribly stressful.

and honestly I'm okay with that set-up. Allow the game to be as easy or as challenging as the player wants. Have a main game be easy or maybe marginally hard at most but have greater challenges await in the corners and shadows for those who desire it.

@NathanDrakeSwag: Cows get a goty aaaae contender and now we are supposed to pretend the PS4 has joined Nintendo in the good exclusives ranks? Uncharted 4 is just 1 game and Ratchet and Clank is a "reimagining" of an existing game. Lets pump the breaks a bit. The Xbox One library is as deep as Uncharted 4's platforming. But the PS4s is only as deep as its gunplay. It's more polished and refined but far from exceptional.

Not falling for it again. Triple Deluxe was a royal bore. Its art wasn't actually that charming, there was barely any worthwhile variety, and its difficulty was for six year olds, tops. It's one thing to be catered to a certain audience, yes, but the game doesn't even reward you for overcoming any sense of challenge, it just gives you a fruit to blow shit away because **** it, you like blowing shit away, right?

Wouldn't be surprised if it got this score because it's Nintendo.

Glad, I'm getting it when it comes out. I loved Triple Deluxe, and I'm sure I will love this as well.

Did you know that Kirby is close behind Ratchet and Clank's tail in game sales as of April 30th?
