Kojima is making an FPS game, no doubt.

after all the news a month or so back about how Kojima was visiting various big time FPS developers (Infinity Ward, Guerilla, etc.) this news comes out.

Kojima is making a game primarily set to compete in US and EU

Whatever it is I expect it to be multiplat. But I thought the guy that made the excellent gameplay in MGS4 moved to the Halo team. Really looking forward to a new IP from Kojima, not sure if he'd make a very good FPS though.

I doubt it. Sony would definitely not let GG help Kojima create a multiplatform game.

Where was it said GG was assisting in the development?

All I read was that he met with them to learn some basics, he also met with a third party dev. I'm not saying it's guaranteed but it surely is likely, I'll be happy as long as it comes to the PS3.

As long as it comes to PC or 360, I'm interested. I doubt it, though.

no, he was just there to bring a western influence, but he probably gets far more credit than he deserves.

...if so, they better get the controls down. I had trouble figuring out the proper CQC for the proper situation in MGS4.

ya that will go over great. Take the style of gaming that has the fastest paced action and slow down all the action with endless hours of cutscenes.

That'd be really cool, I liked the segments in MGS where you could go in and aim in first person. I really liked that first MGS4 trailer where the soldier was in first person until Snake came up and took him down.

Hope it isn't as realistic as the FPS controls in MGS4.

i hope it doesnt have to do with mgs, and i hope it is multiplat, because for a unproven (im guessing new ip) franchise making it exclusive would be kinda silly since there is no fanbase. and i would hope all of hideo's projects do well and could continue on into sequels.

He should have visited Valve or 2K Boston/2K Australia (previously Irrational Games) to learn how to not use cut-scenes, and blend the plot seamlessly into action without any single interruption.
