Kojima Rep CONFIRMS "MGS4" WILL Hit XBOX360 LATER :O

According to an Xbox fan website (the same one that is sure MS are developing a 360 motion sensing controller), a Konami rep has stated straight up that MGS 4 is already in production for the Xbox 360 and will hit the shelves 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version is released. After hearing this, they contacted the MS PR team and got a wordy response back instead of the usual 'we don't respond to rumors', so they think they have some kind of further weighting behind their 'confirmation' from Konami.

Even if that's true, MGS4 coming a year later to a demographic that doesn't want it won't affect the PS3 or Sony at all.

If true, a nice bonus for 360 owners. If not, im sure the PS3 owners will enjoy it. Either way personally as a 360 owner im not all that fussed and will wait and see what happens and i say that as someone who loved MGS1 and MSG3.

There was something that came out prior to (the Sony E3 keynote) announcement. Our folks have talked to the Konami folks, and until the announcement was out from our side, I think they were being a little bit cagey. But the agreement calls for exclusivity, the announcement's been made, and now people know the real story.

People are gonna buy PS3s to play MGS4....if it comes out in June/July..it might sell 2 million by the end of 2008..maybe more, go look at fuzzy squash's thread about it.

you don't see what I was getting at. History shows that MGS sells poorly on MS platforms. So how would MGS4 coming out a year later givea Kojima anything worth the effort of porting? The game would probably sell 100k and that'd be it.

Sorry you took me to literally, but what I mean was MGS doesn't sell on other systems. And PS3 is steadily gaining ground and MGS4 will probably hit 1 million in it's first week.

most of the games yo mentioned are jrpgs most americans and europeans do not play jrpgs those game were targeted for a japanese audience. As for mgs4 its a pretty popular game in the west and its the kind of game that would sell very well on the 360

VF come out and did crap on the 360. just becauseyou put a game on the 360 doesn't mean it will sell. this is something lemmings like to say but it hasn't been proven that lems will buy the game. there are different audiences for each console. an jrpg will sell better on a ps3 than a 360.

Those 3 million that bought MGS3 will because they are the die hard MGS fans. Idk if it will sell 7-8 million like MGS2, but it can sell more than part 3 did..especially seeing how it is being hyped much more.

personally id play it on the ps3 because it was designed for it, but i mean if it means that more people get enjoy a great game and kojima makes more money from it i say why not it cant hurt

All Capcom games went multiplat...only thing is they better make the story completely different from anything in part 1 or 2..otherwise some people will be confused.
