it doesnt matter to me,i dont like handhelds,and since it doesnt have 5 on the name it isnt ,its just a spinoff.as good as it can be it will be a psp game......like valkyria chronicles2.i hate the handhelds they get all the jrpg love and now they are stealing other games too...i want my games on my flat 50" screen damn it..

We never seeing a msg5,6. The story arc is done and kojima is just releasing those 2 new games because there is money to be made and because in psp at least the engine and the effort needed to make a good game on psp will be small since they already got used with ps2 and psp.
Castlevania will be the game of kojima.... the rest is fan and money service.
I am really anticipating this. Portable Ops was a magnificent hand held title, It will be interesting to see how PW evolves the formula. Hopefully it should get me right back into gaming on my PSP.

I'm agree, but, i don't hate them,handhelds just don't interest me, and it's a shame, because i would love to play Parasite Eve 3, Pacewalker and of course, Valkyria Chronicles 2.

Wrong. First of all Kojima and the MGS4 team are working on it themselves. Second, a sequel to MGS3 has already arrived in the form of Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, which is a full Metal Gear Solid game that is completely canon, filling in plot gaps and establishing plenty of backstory. This game will be a continuation of Portable Ops, in other words, it will be clearing the plot gaps between Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear 1. As a Metal Gear Solid fan, I'm extremely excited for this title and I can't think of a better platform for the next Metal Gear Solid game. I'm anxious to pre-order this game, the only problem being it's not in the upcoming releases list at retailers!

a Kojima game for a last gen system and a weak current gen one? Hell no! Besides Kojima sure loves tech and I really doubt it will come to PS2/Wii Really? How about Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops? Those two games flesh out the remaining plot gaps between MGS3 and the original Metal Gear. There are also two non-canon card-based strategy games called Metal Gear Ac!d on PSP. Aside from that, just go look at the release list and see if anything appeals to you. Honestly, there are more Metal Gear games on PSP than any other platform on the market, past or present.

It is pretty much MGS5, or at least a main MGS game. I don't see the problem with it coming to the PSP, it still look very awesome.
So... is Peace Walker technically 5 and then Rising is 6 or what? I'm confused on the numbering priority now.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops: 9.0 on Gamespot. Great game in my opinion, only limitation being the PSP controls.
