:O ...Kojima stop teasing us :x ...at the end of the press conference in Tokyo the screen faded black and Ocelot was heard talking with an unknown character about the launch of MGS4 and a "PROJECT" and a "SEQUEL"-note that only ocelots side could be heard in the press event.. ..here is a translation....:

Because I thought I heard Kojima say that this is the end of the "Metal Gear Saga" not "Metal Gear Solid Saga" So I think that this will be the end.

But I could be wrong and we could get a spin-off or something.

I do believe Kojima expressed that this was the last Metal Gear "Solid" game. I can easily see there being more Metal Gear but I am pretty sure Kojima has already made it clear he has "finished" with MGS.foxhound_fox

Yea, the next Metal gear game doesnt need the "Solid" at the end of it, remember Metal gear Acid?. It could very well just be another MG game with a different character or a different story. I trully believe this will be the end of Solid Snake :cry:.

We can be confident Kojima meant that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be the final chapter to Solid Snake's story. In other words, there is lots of room to continue and expand the story through its various characters the series have built up to that point, from Ocelot to Liquid to Raiden to female agents. Anything is possible.

I do believe Kojima wants to move unto other projects away from the Metal Gear franchise though, so Zone Of The Enders is a strong possibility as his next work, or simply a brand new IP.

Then it wouldn't be called Metal Gear Solid, for logical reasons (with the exception of Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater. Naming scheme error?).

It would not be called Metal Gear Solid. I am not saying he is done with the series, just the Solid Snake story.

I wouldn't doubt a MGS 5, but maybe he won't be making it? Who knows...

There will be another MGS game after MGS4 even if Kojima is officially done with the franchise. The franchise makes too much money to ignore. I think MGS5 will happen as well as Halo 4.

kojima is full of surprises so the idea of a sequel is not to exclude completely... Maybe new characters, maybe a parallel story to MGSIV, who knows...

At the moment, i am waiting anxiously for MGSIV, then we'll see what the future holds for this fantastic series...

But in the meantime would be really nice if Kojima works on ZOE3, i loved the previous installments on PS2 :)
