3 Discs ...the series has a crapload of CGI but Lost Oddysey has more.
MGS never uses CGI. all cutscenes are in-engine polygon demos running in real time. they don't take up as much space as CGI, but there is so much in MGS4 that it is a huge amount of information.

sorry MGS series never used CGI.Of course, lemmings will say this guy is foolish and some how claim ownage on cows..
Ironicly, this is the same guy that started the MGS4 to 360 rumor again little bit after E3 when he said they have nothing planned... for now, lemmings were saying that it basicly confermed a port later.
So, decision time, do you trust him and say blu-ray is needed, or do you not trust him and keep the MGS4 to 360 rumor somewhat alive?
He said not possible without Blu-Ray, basically implying that it couldn't be done on HD-DVD or w/e lemmings call it...
BUT...he did not say 360, he was speaking storage capcity wise, that's all, doesn't mean ANYTHING else....so yea this isn't even a valid argument...

Hm... not possible without bluray.
Does the 360 use bluray? Nope, not possible on 360

Well first off MGS4 so far is PS3 only so ofcourse he'll talk high about the PS3 doing it the best.
Secondly, obviously MGS4 can be done on more than one discs and in doing so how would that degrade the quaility.
Honestly the comment that guy made is kinda stupid cause we all know it can be done on more discs AND that doing so wouldn't decrease the quality of anything.
Also we also know how MGS4 is very uncompressed. So it wouldn't have to take up like 5 discs like fanboy cows claim.
360 could handle the MGS4. He's obviously saying this stuff cause it's a PS3 exclusive. There's no reason why it can't be done on the 360... now if it happens, that's another story.
It's not possible on Xbox 360 because there needs to be a dozen language tracks that are longer than the game itself.
The optical disc does not make the game look better graphically. PC games that are installed on CD instead of DVD look identical. And PS2 CD games looked just as good as anything on DVD.
this basically means the game would have to ship on mulitple discs if it were on 360, or they would need to compress nearly 50gb into 8gb to fit on a DVD, resulting in a huge loss of audio fidelity.Mordred19
Oh no teh switching discs!! NOOOOOOOO
I am now playing NHL 08, Orange Box and Halo 3 and I am switching discs all the time in a space of like 3 -4 hours... no biggie. If I can do do that which I do all the time I don't see how I'd be remotely bother by doing it every maybe 8-10 hours on DVD. And I don't play any game really for that long straight.
MGS4 can come to the 360. All this Blu Ray talk is all BS and someway to try and show Blu Ray is needed when we know it's not. It helps but needed? No, the 360 and Wii are doing and will do just fine.

Oh, I know it can be done on the 360. Im just mad howlemmings used this guy as ownage againts the cows when it benifits them, and now, they are saying he doesnt know what hes talking about because it doesnt benifit their console? And no, Kojma and his staff show really no bias towards the 360 at all, infact, they have a 360 with their PS3 right in the middle of their main room to play and get ideas off of, they love Gears and BioShock. And hes never 'talked high about the PS3' most of what he said when he said blu-ray was needed was true, audio-wise and such, not really needed, but less of a hassle for them.
